Morning all/afties Pat - any snow yet? Good luck with it LP - crossing fingers and toes [always tricky ] for you. I'm sure it'll go well. Damp and chilly overnight, but the sun is coming through now, so I will get on outside. I ordered some plants and they're on their way. I need to sort where I park the car, but I don't know if I can manage lifting the kerbstones along the edge, which have sunk. Bridge too far possibly. The forecasts's a bit iffy Joyce, so I'll see how it goes. One of the little anemones you gave me has a bud - hurrah! They've taken a little while to settle Think you're on a hiding to nothing Wonks - I can't remember anything even if I only read back two pages... Youngest made a nice dinner last night - is she after something? Her birthday is on Thursday.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good luck LP. I'd rather have my "procedure" than yours. That part of Clovelly ( spot on @Dovefromabove ) is only the bottom half , there's at least the same amount of Hill before you even get to the first houses. Deliveries wait at the top and folk come up . There are little sledges there for stuff to slide up and down.
Right, up and dressed after a lazy start to the morning there's a load in the wash and OH is giving a studio a bit of a sort out and sweep up
I've picked a load of Sungold and Rosella toms this morning ... think it may be tomatoes on toast for lunch ... I roasted a load of Marmandes yesterday to freeze for soups/sauces/stuff. These Marmandes are certainly the best I've ever grown ... having been disappointed in them in the past I only grew them this year because I somehow acquired the seeds ... this summer must have suited them
Morning @WonkyWomble Enjoy your well deserved day off .... yes, I know it's a secret
and to @Hostafan1 for tomorrow ... you're going to be up and gone by the time I'm awake in the morning ... I hope ...
Now I've got a bit of paperwork to shuffle .............

Didn't they used to have donkeys with panniers? Sounds like a good idea to me ...

Looks good Hosta. Where's that 'tongue sticking out' smiley when you need it! Do people ever get penalised if they aren't there when shopping gets delivered? It's very rude of them anyway. Some nice autumnal cobwebs on plants yesterday

@Hostafan1 aren’t you allowed to use the road seeing as you are a delivery service? The place is ruined now with that blot on the landscape that passes as a gift shop and a place to take large amounts of money. It used to be so pretty, from top to bottom.
OH’s niece got married there a couple of winters ago, she walked down to the pub at the bottom in her wedding dress, umbrella and wellies.

You wait at the top and the punters have to come up. When they move there, they know "that's the drill". Whilst I was waiting I met some "old" as in previous , customers who have moved there. The only person who goes to the door is the postman. The "Estate" send someone down to collect their rubbish. You have to be interviewed before they'll agree to rent you a house ( all rented from the Estate, none owned) Seems a little medieval for someone to "own" a whole village.
