    As I've said before, is your crappy sleep pattern worse when your Lovely Hub is away and you're not getting proper meals?  Try keeping a sleep diary including what and when you eat in the evenings.

    Flippin spam again ... thought it was too good to last Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    @Dovefromabove, if only there was " a pattern" ,but there isn't. Usually it's better when he's gone because I go to bed when I want and don't have to lie there listening to him snoring.
    I'm sure if I added it all up I had "Quantity" , but I certainly don't think I had " Quality".
    I'll see how I feel after a  cuppa.

    Good morning all.   Had a good sleep despite purry alarm at dawn but still feeling weary so some catching up to do.  It is refreshingly cool here at 26C with a light breeze.   Lost a kilo last week with all the heat and moving exertions.

    Quiet pottering in order today.   No rain in sight for at least a week  and then just a dribble so just weeding and tending pots in the garden.  Might have to get on and start painting the walls in the shower room but not today.   Need to catch up on news too having had neither TV nor radio for a week.

    Busy - how did the viewing go last week?   I like the French and Belgian house buying and selling systems - set procedures all defined with a timetable too and no gazumping.
    Agree about dress lengths.

    Can't tell you how comfy I feel to be home in the peace of the countryside despite weariness.  I love Belgium but am way too far past 27 to cope with town centre apartment dwelling especially with the steamy heat and all the dust and dirt from lack of rain.

    26C and a light breeze sounds , just short, of my idea of heaven.

    Hello all!  August already... where did July go??

    @Pat E - it's a great cheese stall, and actually a fantastic market.  We're very lucky.  It won "Best small indoor market in Britain" this year.   :)  And the community veg & fruit growing scheme is just wonderful, especially in a town where so many of the little back-to-back houses have no gardens.  (Which reminds me I must go and summer prune the community espalier apples this week...)

    Feeling a bit dopey today, because my sleep has been interrupted by another "wee" infection.  Tiredness is a side effect of the antibiotics too - I keep dropping off in the chair instead of doing Useful Things.  Anyone know how to keep these infections at bay?  I've tried sodium citrate crystals, and cranberry juice, but I'm not convinced by either of them really.

    Glad you got back safely to the peace of the countryside, Obelixx, and your happy cats.  I totally agree about the lack of appeal of hot, sticky towns!

    It's 20C here.  Ideal for a spot of gentle gardening, now the soil is moist... might do some pottering later on.   :)

    Liri ... sorry to hear about the infection ... I've been very lucky and only ever had one bout but an extended family member was  plagued with them ... she swears by cranberry juice morning and evening every day ... she says it's changed her life.  

    Just went out to inspect the purple sprouting for butterfly eggs and see if we can have sweetcorn for supper (we can :) ) and found a Nicandra physaloides growing amongst the corn ... a darker flower than I've seen before ... it's quite close to one of the bird feeders lol
