Hello from cold and soggy W.Yorks.  Down to 5C overnight, and reached the dizzying height of 10.8 this afternoon.

Thanks, @chicky, Tipperary (or at least, the bit we were in) was lovely.  Lots of rolling hills, a big lake (Loch Derg), pretty villages, little fields, trees... and rain.  But not all the time.   :)

A bonus was to come home to rapidly-ripening Victoria plums.  My Heath Robinson method of supporting the heavily-laden branches (using washing poles and rope) seems to be working so far, and I picked a kilo or so yesterday.  Plenty more to come - and the wasps don't seem to have discovered them yet.  But a grand total of 3 runner beans so far.  There are flowers, but the beans aren't setting, in spite of the rain.

I'm intrigued at the idea of making a table smaller, Fairy.  With a saw??

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Morning all yesterday was a success despite the weather spending today washing up and tidying back room where we keep all the buts and bobs for outside catering. I have a mini mountain of whipped cream left over that hostess didn't want (we always offer to box up and wrap any leftover food for hostess/ host to keep or for guests to take away) Any suggestions? I do love whipped cream but everyone I know is dieting!

    Pavlova!!!!!😍

or open freeze it in portions/mounds on waxed paper then bag them up. A portion thaws in a few minutes so a handy topping for a pud 😉

One of my colleagues delivered to the address in Clovelly where I waited in vain last week.
" Don't say anything to them and see if they mention the fact they weren't there last week"
Not a word from them until he eventually did dmentioned it. " Oh , erm, we forgot" Not a hint of apology for wasting our time/ fuel etc.
