That's handy to know Obelixx. I didn't get any this year. The ground's probably just been too cold and wet here when they've been planted out and they've rotted. Alliums are a bit the same.  Now that I have a little greenhouse, I could probably bung some in there overwinter. In the past, I've probably put them somewhere sheltered, in their pots, but not been too choosy where!  Note to self - take  more care of them.   :#

    Anyone seen doc?

I planted mine in " the allotment" as cut flowers, ( although none have yet made it into a vase ) and I'll leave them in the ground over the winter. They have two options and I'll see which they went for next spring.

Thank you every one. I split my pot in Spring and made up two. I think I will plant one  pot out and give it a good mulch in Autumn and put the other in the shed over winter as a safe guard. :)

I bought the bulbs in Morrisons . I think it was 20 per pack and £1.99 each / 3 packs for £5. Worth buying fresh each year at that price.

@Hostafan1 The packets you gave me didn’t flower, all grew, do you think they may flower next year if I leave them in?

I overwinter Acidanthera in their pots in the basement. They flowered earlier than usual this year.

Worth waiting for Lyn.  Great late season flowers for bees.  Mine do it in September and October.

Shall I lift them then? Mine are in the ground.

If they're going to get wet and cold, maybe yes.   They like good drainage.

That's so weird. They were all from the same batch. Might you have planted them too deep?
    Here's mine
