Morning all. Just woke up , again. I watched GW at 4 this morning and enjoyed it too. We've been to the Mughal gardens in Dehli, Agra and Jaipur they showed. Hmayun's temple is being restored by the Aga Khan. It's massive, over 60 acres and many of the rills/pools are dry now , but in its day, 1570, it must have been breathtaking. I loved the gardens at the Aga Khan centre in Kings Cross.
Morning. Dull but dry here and fairly warm. I still look a sight - scabby nose, mouth and chin, swollen face - but it's my knees (which I barely noticed hurting at the time) which are most sore. Ho hum. I've volunteered to do some gardening in a local park tomorrow - never met them before and will turn up looking not like me and all achey and creaking!
Those Aga Khan centre gardens were fabulous weren't they? Might pop over in October.
For now - off to an airshow. Au revoir
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
We thought you'd enjoy that one @Hostafan1 and not a dog in sight
I think I must've reached 'a certain age' ... I've just received a catalogue from Easylife ... everyday solutions for making your life easier I have the option of purchasing a portable denture case, countless styles of peel off/stick on wall tiles including some that are meant to look like real brickwork but look as much like a brick as dear Danny la Rue looked like a real woman there's a choice of hideous quilted covers and throws for the sofa, and sprays for deodorising my mattress!!! And did you know that you can buy a folding three sided metal 'wall' to put around your frying pan so it doesn't spit fat on your cooker hob ... all you have to do is to clean the folding three sided metal wall instead of clean the cooker hob There's also a gadget that will make me a small amount of what looks like yellow polystyrene scrambled egg in the microwave in 60 seconds.
The possibilities for improving my life appear endless ..... NOT!!!!!!!!!!
Fortunately I've pre-empted them ... got myself a younger chap Don't need gadgets to make my life easier .......
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
@Joyce21, I've just googled them. Lovely. I prefer the simplicity of the gardens with grass/ water. IMHO it's a shame many of them have been Anglicised with bedding etc.

Hubby has just called from the shop: " Can you pick me 5kg of tomatoes,so I can start making chutney" Funny: I thought he'd agreed to do that tomorrow when I'm at work. Odd.

If the afternoon is brighter I'll get a bit more pruning done.
