...apparently we're on a Met Office warning for torrential rain, hail, lightning and the four horsemen of the apocalypse before bedtime ...
Their outriders have just paid us a flying visit ... the heavens opened and we had rain like stair-rods ... I leaned out of the back door to grab my garden crocs and got drenched
Now it's dry and sunny again ... but there's an ominous black cloud in the west ... and I can hear the gods moving their furniture about up there .........

Bit of excitement here, just had an email saying I've won a £50 Farmer Gracy voucher in one of GW's competitions. That's the spring bulbs sorted then
Nice one steephill. I won vouchers for a walk report I did, but at the price of the stuff in the sponsoring online shop, i think it'll be a couple of pairs of socks if I'm lucky! Wonder if my toms will ripen before it's single figures during the day as well as at night I'll be clenching/unclenching my buttocks in sympathy Hosta....... IMO, the only good deer is one in a casserole, chicky Glad you had a good time and the garden's survived [almost ] intact. Been reasonably dry here today - the rain from Saturday night till Sunday afternoon was very welcome. I should cut the grass as it's now grown a bit, and there's rain forecast all week. Not sure I can be bothered.....embarrassed face smiley.... Having next week off. Can't come soon enough...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Venison steaks are rather yummy too @Fairygirl. I've turned the first compost bin into the second bay and my lovely neighbour turned up with the latest batch of horse poo. I managed to disturb a young grass snake who was basking in the heat . Oops. Soz.
Not had those, Hosta, but the burgers are also very tasty Nice to have the grass snakes - never had one. Nipped out to do the grass, but the smirr came on. Managed to finish without electrocuting myself, so...result Dinner prepped and in overn first, and almost ready as well. That'll do me for today.

Don't really like casseroles except an occasional tagine but I do love venison sausages and reckon a burger would be good too. However, finding venison here is surprisingly difficult. The stuff I found at Xmas last year was from NZ!

Moussaka for supper and enough left for another day. Watched Robert Rinder’s Who do you think you are ... a very good one.
Now it’s time for bed ... sweet dreams all ...

Several farmers are turning over over the ground in case it rains.
