It's still 22.5'C in the house here!! I got a jumper out of the cupboard earlier... just stared at it. My brain wants to wear it because it's grim out. But it's still 22.5'C!!
I entered a daft competition on Twitter - I now can proudly claim to own a Yorkshire passport!!
Then yes please for the plant, Hosta and Dove, thank you.
I have that relish and that tea in my cupboard in France.
It is 23° in the kitchen here. Heating doesn't go on until October. Woodburner is lit if necessary.
Son cooked dinner, steak, new potatoes and spinach and ratatouille (I cooked that) from the garden. We ate outside under the pergola. One granddaughter discovered that she likes garden spinach, but not school spinach. I did put some butter and cream in it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Ooh, Clari - well done! I haven't got one of those, in spite of living in Yorkshire 12 years.
@raisingirl - so sorry you've lost your dog. Hugs from me too.
Just about to pack the car ready for a 3am getaway tomorrow, to catch the 8.55am ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. It'll be a wet drive - but the "tornado" some useless newspaper was predicting a day or two ago, has faded to a gentle breeze. I've got my sick bags though, after a previous experience which I don't want to remember...
I don't think I'll do much posting for a week or two, so I'll see you when I get back!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Have a great time Liri. Hope the crossing is OK both ways.
RG - how sad and heart breaking for you. Huge hugs for you and OH.
I am a bad mummy. Went out to water my treasures in pots and, as I cam round the side and back to do those pots Cosmos started scragging the hose pipe as it followed me round. Shouted in thru the kitchen window where Possum was making dinner that Cosmos had caught a huge snake, a big yellow one. Shreaks and abdabs. Took her 2 minutes to realise I meant the hosepipe. Doh!
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Sorry to hear about the dog dying. It’s very hard to get used to the empty space, I know. I still miss my little poodle. 😪
It looks as though the badgers are very similar to our wombats.😡 On our property, they dig under our fences which leaves gaps big enough for next door’s sheep to push through. The kangaroos simply jump the fences.
Cosmos is certainly growing up, Obelixx. I still imagine her as a little kitten. Time for an updated photo I think. Interesting about the sun dried tomatoes, in theory. I wonder now what the old Nona used to do to keep her tomatoes droppings free. Too late now. That was about 70 years ago.
Good morning all 🙂 Gday Pat 🙂 We’ve had showers overnight and apparently there’s more rain to come but at the moment the clouds seem to be breaking up and the sky’s getting brighter.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning @Dovefromabove and those lucky enough to be asleep still. I've been down to the lake. It's better than it was, but a long way to go. (about 2 feet) Coal face duties to day and it looks like rain all day.
Morning Dove. 😃 ive been practicing Ukelele this afternoon, but had to give because of sore fingertips as well as a cold wind finding it’s way around the corner where I had a nice sunny sheltered spot on the backveranda, darn it. At least I will be a bit better prepared for my group tomorrow. 🤭 Hubby has been down at the fire station this afternoon teaching newbies how to fill the trucks with water from the river. There are some, who will remain unnamed, who bring the trucks back low on both water and fuel. 😡 Not very clever if they get called out to an Emergency and the nearest petrol station is half an hour away. Hopefully, some of today’s group will feel guilty if they’re tempted to do that. Hope you all have a good day. Envy you getting some rain.

Sunny here, but cold wind.
