Morning Hosta and Dove. No rain here. Clear blue sky again. We’ve been cutting yet more firewood. Cant help wondering how much longer we will need the fire going In the house.

    Morning all.

Popping this to the top to bypass all the spam. I've never known a forum being so tempting to the autobots.

Another safeguarding incident meant I was on alert until 19:00 last night so I didn't get to make the most of the cooler weather. The not knowing if you'll need to go out really does mess with your state of mind because you just can't focus on anything else.
Fortunately, the less than interested GP decided to just bounce my "this person is clearly unwell" straight to another sevice to deal with so at least a fresh pair of eyes has gone in.

Hopefully today will be better! I really need to finish work on time to reclaim my time in the garden before his lordship returns home.

    Hello Pat 🙂 and Clari🙂.
The few spots of rain we had a minute or three ago appear to have stopped ...

Morning all/afties Pat - as long as you're cosy, that's the main thing  :)
Dove - according to Carol - you're getting loads of rain later today  ;)
Obelixx too - if the chart is accurate.
Good to see you Clari - hope the 'new eyes' make a difference.
Dry, sunny and chilly here. Single figures last night. It was 2 degrees in Aboyne, in the NE , last night. We had some real dowpours yesterday, but it's good for the garden after all that dry stuff.
Another difficult day at work ahead - won't bore you with the details. Happy days...
Catch you all later - have a good  day, dry or wet according to preference  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

A beautiful sunny morning here with a nip in the air.
Autumn is on the way....cyclamen hederifolium starting to appear and autumn colours appearing on some shrubs.
Clari and FG, hope work pressures ease off a bit.

We had a reasonable amount of rain yesterday, half full water butts and the ground is damp. Much cooler this morning - I think we got down to single figures last night though nowhere near 2C  :o
Need to take some cuttings of my garnet penstemon. I wanted to get some from the lavender 'grosso' but it has no non-flowering shoots at all - think it's a goner, unfortunately. It's flowering it's last so I'll let it be and try something else there next year. I'm also watching my Cornish Copper crocosmia as the seed heads are beginning to form now. Granma has asked me for some seeds. If anyone else wants any, now's the time to shout  :)

Haven’t seen our C. hed yet @Joyce21 but I don’t think they’ll be far behind the first really good downpour ...
