Obs - the problem is that I'm being told two different things now! Will wait and see what the specialist is saying, although it may be a while till I get the appointment. I have to say - my view on tendons [having worked with horses] is that surely they would need the work done on them sooner rather than later, but who knows. Maybe mine are super strong and stretchy and will be nipped back on to where they should go without any problem  :D
I think Mr Foxy got a jet of water up his jaxxy last time so perhaps he's staying away!
Thought I should come in and eat something. Been digging out Irises - fed up with them, and I have lots languishing in pots and taking up room. They're adjacent to the Lig [but in a dry bed] which is covered in bees, so it's not unpleasant work  :)
Been working on the 5 star feeder cage as well - I still have to finish the roof, but I'm running out of old buddleia stems to attach to the heavy duty plastic. Should get a few insects in those too - dinner on tap. Perspex at one side to keep the prevailing monsoon rain out. The things we do....

I’m glad you two have appeared. I was thinking the site had been infiltrated again by idiots.
We’ve been watching a program called “The Truth about sugar”. Very interesting.

Chicklets are grand thank you Fairy 🐣🐥. We’ve all jetted off for some family time in Cyprus - about as hot as home, but with a lovely sea breeze, and an ocean to be swum in every time it gets too hot. Working my way through lots of books, eating well and playing cards ♠️♣️ til late into the night .....fun times 😀😀😀

Hope you get some decent advice on your arm soon - constant discomfort is so draining.  But also looking forward to pictures of the birdcage morning once finished - it sounds ingenious, with all mod cons.

Luckily went with a housesitter again this year - she looked slightly phased when I took her through the daily watering routine ....but she will have toms and cucumbers and sweetpeas and plums to compensate for her efforts 🍅🥒🍑🌸

    Hi fg.
Major disclaimer: this is not my field of expertise.

My understanding is, that even with surgery, there is a high risk, at least 50% of not getting much improvement in tendon function.
For this reason, there is always much debate about the best course of action.

I guess it depends on the expertise of the surgeon.  There are certainly some places in Belgium I would avoid like the plague - eg the stone age foot "expert" in Namur who tried to condemn me to flat orthopedic shoes for the rest of my life - and others I would heartily recommend such as the hospital in Brussels that has world class surgeons who have fixed my back and feet.   The health system there lets you choose doctors and hospitals.

Needs talking thru and a check of success rates.

Same heat as yesterday here with low humidity so at least it's good for the arthritic bits and the garden is full of assorted butterflies.

    Evening all.
Thanks for that doc - and I appreciate it's not your field  ;)
I think that's probably why I got a different response when I went this time.  I'll wait and see what the specialist says.  :)
Have a lovely hol chicky - you do get about.... ;) Hope the housesitter isn't too fazed.
I've seen that sugar prog Pat - I'm not sure why people haven't seen the light about it, but I suppose everyone bangs on about fat being the enemy, without thinking about it more. Carbs as well - most people eat too many for the amount of exercise they do. I certainly do.
Mucho stuff done outside and now i'm knackered.
On hearing the news that Barry Chuckle had died, did anyone else think the same as me? At the funeral, when they're about to stick the coffin in the ground - will they say 'to me, to you'....
    Sorry....I'm feeling frivolous   :D

    @Fairygirl 😵😂

Evening all. Just spent an hour cutting back a Juniper which was covering the pond filter and dipping into the pond plus removal of weeds which were partially blocking the outflow area. It involved standing on one leg, balancing on a stone and reaching whilst kneeling (not all at the same time). I must say it was exhausting! Had a shower and decontamination whilst supper is cooking - absolutely ravenous now.

Hope all ok with you guys.

Well, that was a marathon after all. 14 hours.
A day of 2 halves indeed. This morning I had 5 deliveries which I could have done without any navigation. 8 this afternoon/evening and I'd never been to 7 of them .
The house I'd visited once before had a delivery booked between 6pm and 7pm. She arrived at the house at 18.58. "I see you've been trying to call me, but I had my phone on silent"
"I've been here once before" "yes you have" "you weren't at home when i arrived the last time either , were you?" " erm no, sorry"
It's 22.21 and I'm having a cup of decaf tea before I go for a shower.

That’s stale news, Hosta 😏 Got to keep up you know.

Well, not to whinge, but just as the washing machine finished it’s cycle, we got rain! Der! So, I hung everything up on the clothes horse in the living room, had breakfast, then the sun came out. Is it possible that someone “up there” is having a fun day. 🙄

im off to U3A shortly, so have a good night all.
