Only in the joints. The plasterboard now has a tapered joint that you ames tape [?] and plaster to get a flush finish.
I can understand if it was a lightweight paper you were putting on, or if it's plain sheets of plasterboard, but not if it's a heavier paper. That covers a multitude of sins!
I sometimes give it a coat of pva/water to seal it, or pva mixed with white/light paint. That shows up any imperfections too.
Maybe I've just got away with it Hosta  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Being intimately acquainted with the plaster board in 4 of the bedrooms I can safely say there is no plaster except for filler on the screws that hold it in place and a strip of something or other down the joins.    Same in the new stuff we had put in to finish the annex and in the new shower room.  Just need to sand, prime and paint.

    Hate wallpaper and fitted carpets.

I’ve always watched the Royle family when seeking wallpaper stripping hints and tips. All they seem to need is A Little bit of Monica ... 😉

Time for bed ... night night folks 🐑🐑🐑😴

Evening. Late checking in tonight as... well I don’t know where the evening has gone! What I do know is - it is getting dark too early for my liking.

I have never actually wallpapered - although we have an abundance in our house (not my choice but it is plain). As for the carpet debate... they are a bit unhygienic I suppose but I like a carpet in the bedroom. I don’t always enforce the shoes off rule for downstairs guests (plenty of wood flooring) but no shoes EVER upstairs!!

Edit: that is a classic Dove!

I have wall papered and done it well but I much prefer plain painted walls tho I can do stenciling if it's called for.  We had fitted carpets in Harrow but moved to Belgium and rented tiled floors in 1991.  Instant improvement in my rhinitis.  Bought our own house in 1993 and renovated it with tiles downstairs and chestnut floorboards upstairs.  No wallpaper, no fitted carpets.  Bliss for the drippy nose.

The previous owner of this place banned shoes upstairs but then she had painted a perfectly good solid oak staircase white and put laminate floors down upstairs.  Got to love an oriental rug.

Bit late here, but I am in Newfoundland  for a wedding tomorrow. Assuming it goes to plan.
So far. Taxi  turned up on time to get us to Heathrow on time. We paid extra for extra legroom as hubby hates having his knees jammed up against the seat in front. The plane was three quarters empty so we could have had a row each. The food was dire , I did wonder what other people knew, that I didn't when I saw people stuffing sandwiches down their neck as we sat at the gate. The "pristine new" car had scratches all over it when we went to pick it up, and after a lot of hassle over CDW (which supposedly was already paid for) we got a big kick ass SUV instead. The Hotel charges us 14Ca$ a day to use their car park. We spent C$70 on 2 very good burgersand fries, a can of Strongbow and a pint of the local ale.  We spent c$120 on food for a picnic lunch today at the supermarket. Bonus they don't charge for carrier bags, but they do charge deposits on cans, tetrapaks and bottles of water.
Today we went out to the most eastern point of Canada, then to the most Northern point of Newfoundland. I was amazed at how juniper can grow absolutely flat as it is wind blasted, such that it mixes in with the ground cover. Cedars weather to a most gorgeous silver. I found sundews growing next to a boggy bit of ground. I am absolutely shattered now, so I am going to bed, even though my watch says 8.30. Weirdly, I think there is 4 and a half hours time difference. I can't seem to post photos, so they will have to wait until I get back. The sundew with captured dragonflies is lovely.
    Sweet dreams everyone.

Wow wow Fidget. I can’t imagine how lovely that visit must be.
Hubby measured minus 10.3c this morning. I haven’t ventured out yet, but might visit the GH about midday. The Bureau has promised 15 mm rain on Friday. I’m not holding my breath to see that! Would be good though.
