Darwin friend is coming to me tomorrow Pat so I will need to have the heating on all weekend. She will be clad in winter clothes which she keeps over here at her sister's.
@Obelixx the bottles are swapped when you pick up a full one, you leave an empty behind so they have to be the same size. I'll go and fetch another next weeks sometime which should see us through winter.
I know Hosta but that doesn't stop you buying a small one as a n emergency reserve. It goes without saying that bottles always run out when you're cooking so you need a reserve. We have 3 18kilo bottles - one for each cooker hob and one spare to swap in when it runs out, usually doing something pasta on a timer!

The most annoying thing about the gas bottles, is neither is actually "empty" . It's still sloshing about , but , I guess, not enough pressure to get all the way to the kitchen.
Just seen a snippet about Oz and the PM. Will have to wait for more info tho.
Hosta - being small, ours live in kitchen cupboards right next to their cooker so no pressure lost down the pipe. Even so, there's always a dribble left when we swap them out.
