I watched “strictly” once to see what it was all about I can manage without it. None of these people are known to me! I did see Emma Thomson being interviewed about her new film. Sound good, I may try to see that We appear to have a stormy night ahead, you heard anything Joyce? Also do you know about the A70 road closure? OH is in London overnight so really hope we don’t have any more trees damage. Just got the last mess cleared up.

You really need to give up that drink, LG.... Hope you recover quickly - it's easily done. You too Flumpy. I feel really healthy now, compared to all you old crocks on here Don't really watch any reality shows apart form Bake Off, which starts soon. Some lovely Aretha tracks on the radio today. The Queen is dead - long live the Queen. She was truly remarkable. Most of today's performers aren't fit to clean her shoes when you think about it. How lucky many of us are, to have 'grown up with her'.
A week off now - hurrah. Pity the weather's not keeping up with it though. Hosta - it's currently 13 degrees, wet and windy here - you'd love it I shall have a look round here, and get some lunch - anyone got anything to spare?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
HI well th weddingwent off but the day before we had another 35mm of rain,so 70mm so far this month. Only trouble was i had to let 2.500mm of water out onto the garden as the pool had watr above the bricks so the water went onto the lawn but 30mins later it had soaked into the ground. Our family from the UK is feeling the cold here after coming from the heatwave and it has been quite cold. Pat i am following to programme here about railways of Aust, and roadtrains of Aust,I enjoy both. Your drought looks worse than ours although not much rain fell in the dams this last 2 weeks so we are still on rationing. So sorry to hear about rgirls lost and also dove's son's lose Best of luck for tuesday to hosta
Sorry Pat I have just logged on, all the roads are chaos in south Lanarkshire/east Ayrshire/ and in the other direction too best have a look at the S L website who list them all and we find the most reliable

I've just picked Hubby up from the shop. A customer came in to buy a light bulb. He showed the old one to Hubby so off he went to get a new one. " Is this the one you want" "I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU ONCE!!!" "You'll be buying it somewhere else if you carry on talking to me like that" He shut up. Do you think I'd get away with that level of customer service at Waitrose?

Joyce, I wasn't wearing my glasses, thank goodness, so that's something. All very annoying though.
