Been quite for a while now Pdoc.  Hope you're OK.

Can anyone tell me why a pot of Dulux bathroom paint that I can buy for about 20 quid in Homebase costs 50 euros here?  Same in Belgium?  And not just Dulux.  Local brands are also expensive.

Love red in a dining room but this one is probably going to be blue and rich cream as it adjoins the kitchen which is a mix of blue and rich terracotta - picked out from the kitchen curtains - and I have some pretty blue and cream fabric I was given.

Daughter had a much longer drive today @Lily Pilly.  She has come up to meet my friend (from schooldays) who is here from OZ and due to arrive any minute.
Warm and sunny here but heavy rain forecast for tomorrow.

Back from bike ride ....cake was gooood (carrot) 😋.  Thighs are hopefully thinner for it 😱 (bike not cake).  Time for a snooze for 30 minutes 💤

Lovely sunshine here in the NW, had lunch with the girls, a nice hot beef and onion sandwich with all the trimmings then visited my family and now I’m gonna cut the lawn and then snoooz 🤪

Hello all. Just got back from 4 blissful days on the canals in Worcestershire. Lots of locks to tax the muscles, lots of pub food to undo all benefits. Boating's good for the soul though

Hope everyone is well. Will have a read back.

Enjoy your time with her tho and thank her for bringing the sun back should make your Aussie chum more cosy!

Evening all. That's a bandit of a detour LP and Joyce. Are the works on for a long time?
Glad  you had a nice time LG. Being on the water isn't for me, but I can absolutely see why people enjoy it. Peaceful and calming  :)
Been busy and now knackered. Too many bits of rock and rough stuff just when you need to dig down another few inches  :/
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
