So sorry about Dennis. It's terrible not knowing what has happened. Do you think you will take in any more? I have two brothers, who always worry me when they go out, but I don't think I will have anymore after them. But then again...you never know. Love your photos as always.

That swathe of bedstraw is beautiful among the lush grass.
    Love all your roses Philip.
Thank you Joyce,..that area where the Bedstraw is was covered in 90 to 100 Cm of water for six months,..one never knows what will grow there when it becomes back to grass.

    Some more roses for you,

Rose ( Rosa ' Reine des Violettes ' ),..the first image is how it should appear,..then as Autumn comes close like many roses it changes shape.

Described as Purple/Lilac fully double Rosettes up to 8Cm wide,..almost thorn less and scented.

How the blooms appear this past few days.

Ah yes that's what goes through ones mind,..what happened to him?,..then think the worst,..i should be used to that though i imagine one never does.
I wont go looking for another cat and its always being the case,..they just arrive and set up house lol,..at one time i had over 12 cats they all slept indoors at night then went off to where ever cats go during the day,..i had two litter trays which they never used,..they went outside,..somewhere?

So you have two brothers,..at least no surprise with kittens there but still the worry when they go out,..all the more reason to be nice to them when they are home.

It really i a myth that cats and dogs can't live together in harmony.......as evident in your pics Philip.  I have a dog and 3 cats, they all get on famously once the dog remembers he's the lowest ranked animal in the house! Lol
  • That's a mass of unusual flower drifts, well done on capturing it!

Yes I know exactly what you mean about our beloved pets,we had a wonderful puss called Casey she practically spoke to us,a blue toirtoishell. When she passed our world fell apart, and 9 years later we have only just been able to put her photos up.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.

Lol,.. about the dog must remember he's the lowest rank,..so true,..my last dog was also named Molly and she would give way to several cats who snuggled up to keep warm,..that Molly was a gun dog,..makes one think.

So you have a dog and three cats all happy together,..most gardeners have pets they seem to go hand in hand with gardening,..Monty Don is the same.

Some more pet images,..'Hodson ' who lived for 18 years plus.

    My best glass bowl.

Setting off on a doggy walk is like going on patrol,..if it moves check it out,..if it doesn't,..find out why.

Ah,.. so i am not the only one finding it hard to look at pets pictures after they departed,..its sad to say i am not in the same frame of mind with most people i knew.

Your Tonkinese must be a huge chap at this stage,..a lucky boy to have a new home and in a new Country.
  • 17 days to go and Autumn begins here,..not even the Swallows have taken notice as they are still here,..Foxgloves are starting to bloom in my garden as well?,..mine also bloomed in July.

Fuchsia magellancia,..this will have to get a good reduction in size,..sadly.

Chinese Lantern,..at last produced the colour expected,..other years it remained green.

Geranium,..getting near the time to shake off all soil and hang them up in the shed.

  • My garden blooms,..Part One,..for July 2018.

Fabulous garden.........beautiful piece of music.  You have a super collection of plants.  I notice you have no grass, I'm slowly eradicating my garden of grass too.  Why have grass when you can have plants!
