    Thanks for the information Philip.
I would be very grateful for some seeds and will PM my address.

  • The aster is a flower that at this time of the year I get a chance to appreciate. Some are tall and pale, others dumpy and thick with deep purple blooms. A very varied species but most welcome.

Yes, Youtube is very random with its options. I don't mind though, it is one part of the internet that I still enjoy. I hope you have had a lovely day as I did visiting the V@A in Dundee. I think it is a marvellous building and has to be seen to be appreciated. As always, best wishes to wee Foxy and the gang.

Asters are worth their weight in gold seeing they bloom so late in Summer or start of Autumn,..now that i have those whites i intend mixing them with my purple ones the contrast should be nice.

I certainly make good use of YouTube as i can add all my pictures to one video and its great to find relaxing music as a background.

The last bloom i feel from the Perennial Sweet Pea.

    Some No ID Pink Roses.

Plus Rose (Rosa 'Reine des Violettes' )

I love the depth of colour of the perennial sweet pea...........looking forward to having them next year  ;)
  • @Mary370 ,..they are impressive indeed,..i sowed a few of the seeds i had from 2017,..mostly to see were they stored properly,..they were sown in August and now the seedlings are approx 10 Cm high,..i will plant them in another area intended for Sweet Pea,..being hardy they should survive until i add more in Spring.

A friend who looks in to see what i am up to,..also knows more about gardening than i do,.. sent me an Email informing me what species my Daisy like flowers are.

    Fleabane Erigeron 'White Quakeress',..Asteraceae/Compositae.

    Thank you Sarah :)

    Antirrhinum majus 'Snapdragon',..still doing well.

    Clematis 'Freckles'.

One Stem Yucca,.. in my front room enjoying the sun.

Rose ( Rosa 'Fragrant Cloud' )

I really don't like the image below,..the background was removed,..somehow it doesn't compliment the flower.

    Joe Pye Weed 'Eutrochium purpureum'

Lovely zingy colours on the antirrhinum.  Reminds me of lemon sherbet.

  • @Joyce21 ,..you are so right with Lemon Sherbet,..i can imagine the taste,..i am also always reminded of Lemon Drops Sweets,..every summer my Mother would send me off to an Aunt way out in the sticks,..this Aunts Husband always had a bag of Lemon Drops Sweets on offer,..i loved them,..that was back in the early 1950's.

    Some images captured today.

    Dark Mullein 'Verbascum niger'.

    Foxgloves 'Digitalis'.

I should be pruning my  'Fuchsia magellancia ',.. about now as its very tall but some Blackbirds feed on the flowers every Autumn and they have just started to fill themselves with all the blooms,..it looks like it will take them some time with the amount of blooms to eat.

Foxglove and mullein flowering in October?
    The fleabane is lovely.
The rose 'floating', with no background is a bit strange looking alright lol

It gets more strange each year,..my first and main lot of Foxgloves flowered in June/July as did the Mullein and here they are again just as many in bloom with at least another dozen still to show blooms,..there was a time one could tell the time of year by the blooms on show.

Yesterdays image of part of my small greenhouse,..Geraniums still in bloom.

When there isn't a breeze its nice to get the scent of the ' Korresia Rose ',..not the ones in the image below  at this time of year the bush gets very tall.

Same for these pinks,..on top of the shed.

Two ' Hebe's ',.. and the 'Heucherella 'Sweet Tea',..the yellow leaves are of my Hibiscus 'Woodbridge',..just finished blooming until next year.
