There doesn't appear to be much appreciation of hard work and loyalty any more doc. We're all just numbers.... :/
Glad it wasn'too grim at the hospital.
Not been a bad day here - it's even got quite sunny now and it's managed double figures - just. Rain to come back tomorrow though.
I've still got sweet peas to sow LP. Hopefully your second lot will come good. Did you plant in little pots this time or sow direct?

Horrible day here, rained all day.  Went to a couple of garden centres with friend but it was too cold and wet to enjoy it and I didn't buy anything.  Looking at the weather forecast for the next two weeks it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.

  • Evening all,

Enjoying the evening sunshine on my terrace, have loads to do but thought blow it, I'm going to enjoy an hour or so's relaxation, might evn open a bottle of wine! B&B full, but an early breakfast so I can do the vacuuming and mopping after they check out and then just have to make a couple of cakes before 10am. Plat du Jour is salads all week so nice & easy! Extremely pleased with my cheap Lidl Tulips which opened beautifuly today. Loving reading all your gossip/chat, missed you all, but sitting here reading/typing feels very indulgent not being work related.  ;)

Punk, I wish I could slow down in the garden, jobs might get done properly that way!
things are sooo different out there nowadays. But you know what goes around come around!
fairy I planted as you suggested in the greenhouse. Problem was finding some space!
anyone any ideas how to make your ear pop. This is driving me nuts

    Did I say that LP? I don't remember!   :D
I ws going to stick the ones I sowed in little pots into the cold frame, but they're up against the fence on top of it. They'll just have to get on with it, although they might be a bit slower to get going, unless it warms up enough in the next week or two.

Hope it clears LP as it can be most unpleasant.

Yes - going to watch it Joyce. The Everest one a couple of weeks ago was excellent, especially the bits about Mallory and his wife's photo, and the rock samples taken after the earthquakes a few years back, the summit one showing the fossilised sea lily stems. There's another couple  of programmes to come - highly recommend it.
I just watched Landward from last night too - the presenter crossing the Steall Bridge in Glen Nevis was quite funny.  :D

    Hope you're ok LP.
