LG - yes I'm enjoying the sewing but it's a bit more pressured than usual. I have to have it all packed and ready to go for early on the 27th when I catch a train to Paris to meet Possum for a few days seeing the sites.
No idea about the willow weaving. I've done both fresh and dry but, since I didn't want the fresh to grow I left it to dry before I put it in the garden with a clematis to grow up it - of course.
Planted a weeping and a twisted willow at either end of the pond on Saturday. Hope they grow as they're in very hard clay/sand/brick like soil on the shelves. You'd need a very wet garden to cope with 25 twisted willows. The one I took my cutting from in our old garden grew very quickly so I assume sucked up lots of water.

Punkdoc, you just reminded me that we had tree work done about this time last year - it was a bit pricey but well worth it. We had some conifers removed, some trimmed, and some large Laurels shaped. I am hoping that one of the rewards this year will be that my Rhododendrons will have more light and room to flourish. When checking my photos, I also noticed that it shouldn't be too long before: frog spawn, Daffodils and blossom buds.. hurray!
I so look forward to this every year - the timing is perfect as the ground is warming and sowing, planting and general pottering is in full swing. Roll on Spring!
Just back Joyce. Sm had run out of milk but we buy the Pure and there was still some of it. Stocked up with fruit and veg. Plenty of tonic water? bread maker is on. Back just in time as blizzard started. School was in for all of three hours today and only 30 kids made it in
LG OH a lot better and I am just coping now with ghastly sinusitis, sore, thanks for asking, how is the studying going?
Punk I dont think we willthe Tree surgeons the snow is going to bring any weak branches down Glad you are out and aboso long this summer building a really good one we took off the top net in October but the base one has just not coped with the huge amount of snow and every pole is broken why do we bother?

Morning all.
I like your willow weaving Obellixx.
LP - snow is forecast into next week so I hope you are well stocked up.
Busy - village visits and pub lunches..... seems good for a few days in January
Nothing much doing in the garden as it is frozen solid and not a lot of incentive either.
One nice piece of news, the latest book is out now.

Hi all.
Just had a tree surgeon round, I want to crown lift 2 of my Yew trees and have some work on a few other trees.
20 minutes outside and I am absolutely frozen, although at least there is some sun. I may need to go back to bed, in order to warm up a bit.
Lovely to see you yesterday, WW.

Onwards and upwards Punkdoc. Keep focusing on what you CAN do , not what you can't.

Another chilly night. Hubby has asked for an extra blanket. WIMP.
Hosta - it will soon be time for you to get the wood burner going. Sorry
