Hope nobody is snowed in this morning - LilyP's photo last night didn't look good... hope your Mrs managed to extricate the car, Pdoc. Snowy on the tops here, but slushy where we are.
While DT surrounds himself with yes-men of the same intellectual and moral capacity as his, he'll carry on believing what he wants to believe. We need someone brave like the little boy in the "Emperor's New Clothes" story to show him what he's really like...
At least if Wonky's problem is definitely not Carpal Tunnel, she might get a diagnosis and appropriate treatment... here's hoping!
I'd better get going. Need to do a few jobs and finalise the packing... it now looks as if the wind speed at the airport is going to peak 2 or 3 hours before we're due to take off, so fingers are crossed here... OH in particular really needs a stress-free break.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Joyce, are you ok? it has snowed all night, at least 8 inches, Village was cut off for a while. poor people stuck overnight on motorway. Fortunately everything moving now. The road is dead quiet tho I think there will be a lot of damage.
I have a lot of trees bowed over to ground level
hope everyone ok

Hi all.
Crazy night here, high winds blowing hail / snow against windows, keeping us awake. Now have about 6 inches of snow settled and still snowing.
At least being retired, i can snooze, OH was up early trying to get car out.
Give my love to WW, Dove, and if I can help in any way, let me know. I will do anything for a pint of Adnams.

Cognitive ability is the capacity to perform higher mental processes of reasoning, remembering, understanding, and problem solving.
Evidently it's the rest of us who have a problem and not DT........
Morning all.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
LP - the snow is disappearing here but cars are coming in from up country with lots of snow on them. More is forecast.
Dove - I know you are a late night Radio 4 listener like me. Did you hear the fascinating programme on birds at 11pm last night?
Joyce - I started to (love the Infinite Monkey Cage) but kept drifting off and missing bits .......... I will 'Listen Again' later on

Morning all.
It's quite sunny today. We are going out for a 4 mile walk that is in one of our walk books. There is a nice pub in a village for a lunch break.
There are loads of sparrows on our bird table today. In France there are loads of bluetits and much more variety of birds.
A pleasant walk with a pub lunch too sounds ideal Busy.
You wouldn't be walking anywhere up here with our weather!
First plant delivery of year. I bought some stuff in sale, from Wootens.
Too cold and snowy to take them to the greenhouse today, I might get lost on the way
