Hosta - I agree about police and insurance claims. Need to tell the hotel too in case they have CCTV and can identify someone. Dreadful experience for you and I expect you'll have some sleepless nights. Stay safe and try and enjoy what's left of your hols.
Golden rain tree now planted at the end of a row of fruit trees between the potager and paddock. Hope it likes it there. Have got the pork out of the fridge only to find the bloody butcher's removed the skin form our belly pork! Much humphing - so now it's soaking in cider and will be cooked with sliced onions and apples and I might make some Yorkshires instead of crackling.

Hosta: what an ordeal - hope you and hubby are not too shaken.
Hope everyone else ok. Just prepped a stew - can be slow cooked this afternoon for tonight, or might keep for tomorrow (seems thicker and richer the next day).
Just going to register for The Big Garden Bird Watch 2018 - 27-29th Jan.
Hosta...thank god you guys are safe . On a lighter note ....we went to IKEA outside Moscow today . Why you may ask .....well ....and I am not gloating ...yet. We used to have a great entrance way with old Russian bentwood furniture and hooks .....guests could come in and drop their big winter coats , hats, cross-country skies .....my BH decided to change all that before New Year........so we now have a new ..box like structure in the entrance way .....two coats and it's full .....the beautiful sliding doors don't close ..........sorry .....sometimes just leave well alone

Such terrible news Hosta.
Hugs to you and hubby.

Hosta - so sorry to hear your news - what a terrifying experience. Glad to hear you're both physically ok.

Hosta always has such fun on his holidays, puts the rest of us to shame in our country locations?
Dove, surprised you’ve got away with it in Cornwall for so long, the Cornish are noted for looting?
Oh! Only 'downloadable' packs now available for Bird Watch (bit late registering suppose - grrr!)
Dove - never had this problem before. Belly pork is the only cut here that comes with the skin still attached - in theory.
AR - stews and casseroles and curries always taste better the day after. Time is needed to let the flavours develop.
Next and last - for now - blouse cut out so I'm off to sew. Supposed to rain all day so, of course, it is sunny.

Oh my giddy aunt, Hosta, how terrifying. So glad you are OK.
