    Morning all.

sorry , but I've been a bit AWOL for a couple of days.

Nasty experience yesterday , cut a long story short, we got mugged and had money stolen. We'd just taken money to go change,a lot more than we'd normally carry,  ended up somewhere  perhaps we shouldn't have been ( 20:20 hindsight?) and had it all stolen.

Dove, hug to you both from both of us. xx

Oh Hosta!!! image image ((hugs for you both))  How horrid .......... and probably very scary ... you're both big strong chaps so I presume that either a weapon or several assailants or both were involved ... please take care now.  I take it the police have been informed ...

Obelix and everyone who's said such kind things ... thank you ... OH is disappointed  but pragmatic ... he says he's  had eight years in a lovely job with lovely people, just up the road and hours that really suited him and enabled him to spend large uninterrupted blocks of time in the studio which has been amazing.  Something else will turn up .......image

Topbird, bread sauce and quince jelly will do just fine ... expect you this evening image

Dove, 4 guys bundled us into a house and handcuffed us together. Kept me there while one of them took Hubby back to hotel to get more money.

I keep telling Hubby " it could have been a lot worse" At least we're not nursing broken bones or tending knife wounds..

No point in telling police, we couldn't imagedirect them to where we were.

the "blue" ones are long tailed starlings, or glossy starlings, ( depends who you ask ) the other is , I think , one of the hornbills.

Omg Hosta. How frightening, that could have turned very nasty.

if you wont tell police promise you will tell the rep/hotel/ they need to know if there is a problem in the area and allow other guests to be vigilant .

Indeed so Dove, they're the same birds I posted last time we were here, but this time I got the sun on them on the palm trees opposite our balcony.

They , very obligingly, announce their arrival with a very distinctive call.
