Same here, NB.  I guess since nobody's posted between 11pm last night and 10 this morning, the whole site must have been down.

Just boring old Pennine drizzle here...  those flash floods in Cornwall were horrible.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Morning all.

Sunny but windy.  Farmers have been spraying......too smelly to have windows open and don't fancy going to work in garden until stink has gone image

Cool and cloudy here.  After a very noisy night with lots of flashing and banging we've had a whole 2mm of rain.  I've just had to go and water the herb garden which had gone limp.  Fennel and dill I can understand but lavender, thyme, sage and rosemary not so much.   Winter savoury doing fine tho.

Stayed up late to keep Bonzo company but not coddle him.  He doesn't like thunder but is getting better.

Sympathies for the stink Joyce.   I should think our farmers have had a lie in after rushing round like mad things getting the harvest in before the deluge which didn't happen.    Haven't seen the news yet but hope Cornwall is OK today and no more floods.

Cloudy, damp & muggy  here, perfect conditions for Blight- here's hoping it doesn't come too soon.

    Me too Dove.

Went looking for some Irish Yew pillars, £70 each, too rich for my blood.

Had car cleaned for first time since I bought it 2 years ago. I thanked the young girl , 17 -18 as she finished the polishing, she smiled and said I had made her day. Obviously I am used to having this effect on young girls, but I asked why, to be told I was the first person to thank her today. Why don't people have good manners anymore ?

Very humid and thundery here, but no rain.

Chicky, Hubby says "if she had a visa, credit card, Amex card, etc, she could use it out here and you could just top it up over there".   Don't know if this makes sense, but there might be an option somehow.image

I collected my car from the mechanic today, it's been passed for another year's registration, so that's a relief. I drove home through sleet/rain with the wipers on and off all the way. Darned cold. Spent the whole trip desperately trying to not obsessively count the dead Roos, wombats, and wallabies on the sides of the road. image

Miserable weather today, so inside all afternoon.

Sorry to see the storm damage! Also there are bush fires in many places around various countries.

Coul use the forum all day, as you've all noted. Feels like my hands have been cut off.
