OH is at the BBQ again. More lamb kebabs. Seems to think you have to hover over it while it comes up to heat. Just imagine doing that every time you turn on the oven to bake or roast something.
Meanwhile neighbour Luc is rushing around madly to bring in all the wheat and straw before the storms come. Got quite sticky this pm but feelig fresh again now so I suspect teh storms will sweep by without dumping. Bums.
Lots of butterflies about so the kittens are getting good exercise. Anyone know what this one is?
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Having had such an exhausting weekend we got up late, had baths, and decided to go for a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads. We went to Wroxham, bought tickets and, as there was a delay, we had a light lunch in a pub by the water while we were waiting. There were loads of swans and the sun came out. Enjoyed the boat trip, big tourist boat, it was relaxing drifting along looking at the scenery and chatting to the friendly people in the seats behind.
Tomorrow we are going to West Yorkshire until Friday to stay with my SIL and BIL (first OH's sister), I haven't seen them for a bit and we are friends. Looking forward to it, but it's another long drive. Good thing I like driving.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Flash flooding in one of our favourite villages in Cornwall ... Coverack down on the Lizard .... the little businesses all along that harbour road will be deluged
Enjoy Yorkshire Lizzie - plus glad you had fun on the Broads. And enjoy Ireland Liri - what a well travelled bunch we are.
Waiting for the storms here - very oppresive, giving me a headache. That and the maruding bambis, who, having left hostas alone for the last 7 years have suddenly developed a taste for them (see Garden Gallery .....didn't want to upset Hostafan by putting pics on here with no health warning)
Got an appointment in Windsor to set up a new bank account tomorrow. My existing one wants to charge me £10 everytime we make a transfer to Chicklet HSBC don't charge if you have all your accounts with them .....so needs must.
Enjoying my sweetpeas atm - enough for vases (well jugs and carafes collected from far and wide ) in every room ....delish
£9.50 standard charge for an international transfer Fidget (Lloyds and Barclays) ...extortionate when you add that to the rubbish exchange rate they will no doubt apply .....and all they are doing is electroncally updating a couple of ledgers
Dove, very sad , hope there are no casualties , watching the live feed at the moment , we never can tell what nature will throw at us.....the operative word is respect !
Floods can be devastating. I hope everyone gets out safely. The same storms are passing thru Brittany and causing lots of bovver with fires from lightning as well as local floods and power cuts. They're on orange alert. We're on yellow for tonight and tomorrow morning.
Chicky - well done for changing banks. Hope it works well. No justification for charging that much for a simple piece of data for the overnight run.
Boat trip sounds lovely Busy. Love messing about in boats.

I think it's a tiger moth - maybe Jersey tiger? Should be called zebra though, surely?
