Hope you get a better set of tenants this time Hosta. always a bit of a lottery though, eh?
Think the weather's to break again on Friday, Joyce. Glad you'll have a bit of company though. Remember that I'm only half an hour away if you ever need anything. I PMd you about that little columbine, but I knew you probably wouldn't have been looking at those recently. x
Lovely photo Dove. I don't often visit the sea but I love what it does
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi Hosta. I've been rather reluctant to emerge from the blankets this morning (again). It's now 11 am and I've only now had breakfast. I hope you've managed to nod off again.
Wishing the best to Chicklet on her new adventure. Weather wise they are expecting 18 degrees today so that should be comfortable for her.
The frost was heavier today here, but it's starting to slowly melt. I'm trying to work out when I'm supposed to catch up with the washing. Each day seems colder and moister than the previous one. I guess the tumble drier will have to be employed again.i don't mind that so much, but I really hate the undies hanging around the living room which is the only room heated except for our bedroom.
I hope the workmen have done their job on the conservatory by now. Sounds impossible to move around the place.
best wishes to those with other problems. Lilyp, hope the eye is getting sorted.
Anyone on here either a builder or double glazer, thought things were going OK with conservatory etc, Hubby comes home from work, meant to have new soffits, gutters etc on all four sides of bungalow, they have re-built conservatory, question for those in the know, can they actually put up new soffitts and gutters, BEHIND the new conservatory roof Hubby says they cant, they should have done it first, BUT they assure me they ARE replacing it. it is full of condentation today, never had that before. The floor, bearing in mind was told by the boss they would tarp when the roof came off, Hubby said "Dont worry too much about the floor, I am going to replace it at some point". They didnt tarp, its laminate and ruined, was under 2 inches of water. He meant regarding putting tools etc on it without cover because it (was) is tough and scratch proof, I am stuck in the middle. Got to "speak" to them today. He has got to the "throw up" unable to eat stage with his stress now! Apart from yesterday, they arrived at 8.30 and were gone by 2.30. I said I would put the de-humidifier on in there Hubby said it was pointless because the laminate is ruined, hope to God this condensation isnt here now to stay!!! Advice please.Yes, Pat it is very difficult to move, the conseervatory is almost the entire width of back of bungalow, which is open plan, I have tumble dryer, freezer, between kitchen/lounge, just enough room to get thru, PC desk across one sofae, just inside front door, where phone line is, 4 wires, leads right across floor for internet, phone, sky, modem in the midle of the floor. Cane furiture is outside in the rain, as is dining table (luckily) metal, washing machine and base upboard had to stay in conservatory, chairs, wall cupboard, cupboard contents, coffee, and plant tables, furniture cushions,6 ig blinds all in spare bedroom, Grandkids coming Friday, you literally cannot get in the door, have been assured it WILL be done by then Dining chairs are in the shed.

I've just been on snail patrol with a torch. Found a wee hoglet, so I crunched a nice snail for him. I hope he enjoys a ready made supper.
