Morning / afternoon all. Really quite chilly for July here, Pat - all the heat seems to have gone north to Joyce et al! I'm not too bothered - we have had a lot of a-bit-too-hot (sorry Hosta) weather recently. The garden needed a good amount of water, which it's had, and it's quite nice to have a bit of energy to do things without wilting. I'm sorry that your holiday is not warmer though, BL.

Childhood home has finally gone to its new owners. Our parents bought it in 1958 and we all grew up there. Bit of a wrench. Best check all my cuttings today.

Clari, maybe you imagined the peppers... are they still there...? Otherwise, a wormhole must be the explanation. They usually are.

Nanny, our "garden" is 100 acres of bush block. We have 5 dams spread throughout the property and they are all running out of water. Haven't had rain for months. It's supposed to be the driest winter for about 38 years according to thevWeather Channel. image Luckily we no longer have stock to worry about - just the wildlife and the fences don't restrict them to one area or another. They either jump the fences of push/dig under them.

Pat, the difference between north and south can be huge, normally it's the south that wins!

    Morning all/afternoon.

LG the L, it's sad when that happens. The house i grew up until i was 11. It was a council house, dad wanted his own house. In the early 70s couldn't buy the council property. I think that's right, so we had to move. Today got to pick some more fruit and try to make some more room in the freezer. I might have to make some redcurrant jam.image

Good morning everyone.    Another cool and cloudy day here but no rain and no gardening just yet.  Have to go hunting electronic keyboards (type electric piano into google in France and it gives you range cookers) and look at surf boards and wet suits in the sales.

Minstrel has become an enabler.  She catches wee meeces and voles and leaves the corpses indoors for Cosmos to practise hunting.   He's still on chasing flies and killing my elastic hair bands.  Not an outdoorsy cat, especially in hot weather.

LG - Hugs. A wrench but also a rite of passage for most of us.

Pat - that does look very dry.  Hope you get rain soon.

LP - enjoy your family and all the little ones especially.

Have a good day everyone.  Hope you get warm weather for your projects but not too hot.

    Morning all.

I expect a kangaroo is even worse for the garden than a rabbit!

Lily P, we visited family last week, I wrote about it in earlier posts.

LG, must have been emotional, but I like the way you turned to your cuttings for comfort! My sister sold our family home a couple of years ago. My father gave it to her when he downsized. My parents bought it in 1963.

I hope we can have a quiet day today, the sunny bank badly needs weeding. OH always wants to go out, he says he mustn't waste the time he has left! He's only  27, but as I'm 10 years younger that makes me 17!
