Friends on the Wildfood board also had a sleepless night... one of them posted this "but did anybody else see the article about eating 2 kiwi fruit an hour before bed ? . They are apparently rich in the chemicals that induce sleep (melatonin/serotonin ???) This was research carried out in Japan"
Afternoon all. Babysitting Mabel today. Just helped her make 2 crumbles. One apple and blackberry and the other rhubarb. You can imagine the mess a 4 year old can make. Sorry to hear about everyone's troubles.
Hope you keep it together Chicky.
Hate having building work done. You have my sympathy Nanny B
Ooh pre biotic I think Raisin! I remember thinking draft it wasn't the yoghurt stuff.
Raisin re work: I have high standards and expect nothing less (you know - over simple stuff like having enough electricity that you don't need to PEE IN THE DARK)

Pat E , thank for info , not a problem we have hear , I understand dear can be nuisance, we gave them in the woods around hear but not in gardens or allotment that I known of
Hugs from me too Chicky. We do Skype thru Facebook to talk to Possum. Works well for us.
Virtual hugs for Busy's OH too. Sad times. And hugs for anyone feeling crook or low.
My headache has diminished to lurking so I'm having a gentle day apart form having to defrost, clean and re-pack the tall freezer after someone didn't shut the door properly.......... Fortunately we have cool boxes and a car fridge to stash it in while I did a rapid thaw with a hairdryer. No need to buy any meat for a while.
We had rain overnight and some more this morning but not as much as forecast or needed. It has stayed cloudy and cool at 23C today so comfy enough for pottering. Now to fix a new rail in a wardrobe and sort out clobber. Possum would like a new jacket and some smart trousers and shirts for her placement next year............ Better get on then cos I won't want to sew in sunshine.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, DD so sorry to hear your sad news. But hopefully we WONT be going to court or anything. Rang office at 9, spoke to nice lady often spoken before she was really annoyed, turned out Boss lady DID fact make site visit yesterday, (was off in Seaford visiting "Driftwood" lovelly garden open for charity, gave the guys a b********g, one is her son, he told me today, she rang had a big chat, got everything sorted, and guys worked 7 hours flat, no lunch, AND carried round new shed that came at lunchtime wooh, although, bloke loading lorry aparently forgot to put in shlf brackets on BOTH orders, does no-one check these things. So, roof on, sides, windows in, sun out french doors open, soooo much to do in the garden havent been able to get out there for a few days.Expect the rasberries have been ruined now shame there was so many. You are a lovelly lot on here, went shopping yesterday bumped into an ex- colleague she laughed her head off when I told her about rain pouring in, Geof, at "Driftwood" had a similar story when he had his back porch built, no roof, for 6 weeks rain ouring in. Normally, of course I would have been doing a rain dance LOL Is Cromer in Norfolk Dove?

That Doctor chap Mosley ? Did a programme on it and had a few ideas about sleep tested.
I thought his test subject had 4 kiwi fruit at night.
There were other ideas but I can only remember a hot bath followed by cold bedroom.
GUESS WHO HAS TO FORCE SHUT THE OFFICE DOWN AGAIN.
This is getting silly now.

One of them was taking a dietary supplement - I think it was a pro-biotic. Or a pre-biotic. Can't remember the 4th one. I think there were 4.
What on earth is going on at your work, Clari? Sounds bonkers
