Hosta, sorry to hear about your plants, how disappointing for you, unfortunately we have to take the good with the bad, and I know from reading here, you have a lot of successes.
Anyone excited to hear which plant will be named in GW special next week? Personally speaking i think bedding plants, although I was surprised at the suggestion, as it includes such a wide range of plants.
Mary I'm with you, sort of with " bedding plants" . It's a bit like saying "herbaceous plants" , or "trees" As it doesn't even meet the brief of "plant", singular, it should be disqualified IMHO.
Coal face duties today, but stuck in shop . No driving .
Morning all! Laying in bed relaxed, content, suddenly realise it's scouts church service this morning! At least I remembered in good time! I don't expect any of the scouts to attend aside from the two whose mother's are brownie / scout leaders and so are forced. But they might surprise me. It doesn't help that the current leader only tells them verbally the Monday before and we all know how great kids are at passing messages on!
Good morning. On parade early so I can get some weeding done before it gets too hot and then, guess what, more painting - 2nd and last top coat on the wardrobe thingy, more coats above and below for the new garden chair seat bases, more red on the IKEA thingy and another spray on the metal garden table.. Some bird has decorated the teak table so that needs a wipe and maybe another coat of protector oil.
Spoke to Possum last night. She'll be here for the summer and wants to learn to paint furniture. Aaaaaargh! Good job really as we have the ex kitchen cabinets we're recycling.
Dove - we are still getting t know wines here and found a very palatable local one at the restaurant on Friday which we will hunt out. I find French wines a minefield of unpredictability and if you don't know the terroir and what the harvest was like or the weather in any given year, not to mention which socks he was wearing when he tramped the grapes you can get in trouble.
I can think of many better places to be Clari but hope you enjoy your service.
Hope you mist has gone now Pat.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Yes thanks, it's gone now, but sun has nearly set now. The washing is now inside on a rack drying with the help of the wood heater.
ive had a boring day. I'd better smarten myself up or I'll be in the doldrums. Nearly time for the evening news - not sure I want to know any US news. It's beginning to irritate me.
Not watching any news or politics here. Too depressing. I was muttering about creationists yesterday and OH asked what they are! I've long suspected he only pays attention to golf and sports news and progs.
I think roses will win the vote.

Computer is back, unfortunately they had to restore it to factory settings, without checking how much I had backed up. You can imagine the rest.
OH in bed with the lurgy, I am sure it is because she works so hard, so I am hoping to potter and to earn brownie points, by popping in regularly to offer food and drink.
There must NOT be a coalition with the DUP, a party of hate filled, xenophobic, homophobic, creationists and that is amongst the nicer things I can say about them.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

can't fit it all in, but seems to sum it up pretty succinctly.
