Still an orangerie as they grew other fruits too.

It is cold and damp out so I sat cataloguing my new plants on a spreadsheet with a view to making some sort of garden diary.   Have managed to mislay a few labels form my Beth Chatto garden treasure so have been trying to find them on her website - such a lovely, drool making sweety shop.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Jumper on, heating on, Lasagne on.

Was looking forward to an hour of post-work pottering outside but the hail put me off... so had a nana nap instead?

    Evening all! Night Pat image

Lovely hard working day in kitchen garden, weeding pleached pear beds and edging, then mulching rose garden, defining circles around trees to the sounds of pheasants and robins, with Swans and deer keeping me company image blinking knackered! After two hours they put my wages up by 50p an hour so I guess they are pleased, just a three month contract initially, probationary period, great so far though! Thanks for clothing tips folks! image

Sorry to post and run but shattered and still have to go to the shops and pick up a pocket radio I have just ordered ( for work) and cook dinner, hope everyone is well and has a lovely evening! image

The weather on the way home reminded me of the old Frankie Boyle joke -  'there's a deep depression over Scotland....and now for the weather forecast...' image

I love those big, dark, snow/hail/sleet filled clouds. I know - I'm weird. image

Jamie Cullum's doing his tribute to Ella onthe radio right now. Fantastic. I'm having a little dance round the kitchen while doing the dinner  image

Glad you've had a good day Wonks.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Been doing my tax forms, why do they have to use such impossible language? Bad enough being in French! I think I've put my English pension in the wrong place.

Just about to go and have home made Cornish pasties with runner beans and gravy.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Sounds like a great day Wonkyimage - I know you want to impress, but don't forget to pace yourselfimage

Hope you get your tax return sorted BL - bad enough doing it in English - and they make it sound as though they'll lock you away and throw away the key if you forget to put in the £3.75 interest you earned on a little savings account you forgot about.

Sounds like a good start Wonky.  Pace yourself tho.  Does OH not do dinner?

It's been a funny day here and all that unpleasant weather has yielded a mere 2mm of rain.  Really.

Can't remember when I last ate a Cornish pasty.  Probably 40 years or so.
