The weekend is here... and better than that - I have a whole week off work next week! I am too scared to look at the forecast as I really need a therapy gardening week but fear the rain will spoil my plans.

Kicking off the weekend with a calorific supper and a big glass of vino... I anticipate falling asleep on the sofa tonight...

I hope you have a good week Aunty Rach.

I was a good swimmer before I was 27, Fairygirl, but I'm not sure how to manage my bags and OH is coming too.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Thanks GWRS and Busy. Plenty to do next week - 'life-admin' and the like, but must make time for escaping to the garden. Hope everyone else has garden plans - whether it's projects and hard work or just enjoying the fresh air and signs of Spring.

Busy, I hope your travel plans don't get disrupted.

AuntyRach, It will be good to have some time to yourself next week and even better if you have gardening weather.

Hello everyone. You all sound very busy. House renovations, gardening, hill walking, footy queueing, cooking tasty meals, pergola planning, and lots more, while I am lazing thinking about the day ahead. It's been raining all according to Hubby who has much better hearing than I.

Overnight rain! Whoopee!  Still raining. 36mm in the gauge. Amazing. We might even see some green in the paddocks next week instead of brown. There is even flood watches on the east coast.  Not surprising since they got most of that lot we couldn't get over on our side of the range. The only disadvantage for me is the smell of wet poodleimage.

Glenys, did you get some in SA? You deserve some after 41 degrees.

    Morning all, afternoon Pat.

Woke early, most unlike me. No gardening again today as kids are taking part in an all day thing and I've got to be there too. The weather doesn't look gardening-friendly anyway. One day those beds will get filled / seeds wil get sown / stuff will get pruned...

Congratulations on the rain, Pat - enjoy the resulting greenery!

Am now in the final month of my job.  Having decided to quit in the autumn and committed to it at the end of December, it's been a long haul. I've got so much to do in the next few weeks in order to leave things tidy. Eek. But I'm not going to think about all that this weekend.

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

Edited to add: morning Dove, you snuck in there :-)
