Went to the bank, took an hour. I have a savings account and it's paid interest for years into an account without a chequebook and now the government says bank accounts have to be used every year or they'll be closed down. So cheque book ordered and internet set up. Their internet is a slow as mine!

Then I went to my favourite clothes shop and bought a top, a cardi and a dress. Rare I get the chance without OH hovering! But I haven't bought anything there since we went to New York in 2015.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not round much at the moment - works a bit manic - but watching you all from afar image. If someone could start my seeds off on th windowsills, prune my apple trees and raspberry canes, and maybe make a bit of a start on the weeding I'd be very grateful image

    Morning all.

It was quiet last night wasn't it! I was making a batch of fish pies for the freezer (as well as a special gammon heavy meal as a treat) to ensure we have plenty of easy meals for those fatigued evenings. The last receipe I used was lovely but of course I didn't write it down. I keep doing that! It's like all the plant labels I forgot. We've now enough fish pies to last us a month (might have gotten a bit carried away!)

Right, my turn to walk the hound (normally OH does mornings but he has an early meeting on a Wednesday) so I'd best stop faffing trying to sort those little chores and thoughts in my head.

Morning everyone. Those fish pies sound tempting, Clari. What type of fish do you use?

We're having pasta tonight - using tomatoes every night to try to make a dent in the tomato harvest. I gave a bag to each of three families over the weekend, but the supply don't seem to be disappearing. You'd think I'd learn every year about planting so many seeds.image

    Morningimage

Well I was hoping for a couple of hours in the garden today because originally the forecast suggested sunshine & mild.

It is raining - water tipping out of the sky - how very dare it?

Need to get on with the same jobs Dove did yesterday.

Still - we could actually do with the rain - has been a very dry winter.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
