Good morning , o/h gone to slimming world meeting , I'm going into Lincoln shortly to meet former colleagues for lunch & a beer or 2 , they are coming to Lincoln by train
Cold start this morning and frost about but it's bright and sunny and creeping up to 4C. This pm we'll wrap up warm and head to a GC for trays and stuff for my Bishops and then a DIY store to look at fencing panels, railway sleepers and concrete sleepers to try and work out what will be best for our raised bed potager project. I wonder if we can wangle a bulk discount.
Lovely letter Clari and well deserved. I hope he can turn his life around and get over his traumas.
Chicky - I haven't had any whiffs from my baby witch hazels but hope it improves next year when they'll be in their permanent home with a bit of a windbreak.
Joyce - I hope you're right and the worst is over. Pdoc - pulled muscle? I remember pulling all my stomach muscles during a violent spell of food poisoning. Beware of stoemp and cold meats anyone heading to Utrecht!
Stay cool Pat. Autumn will be here before you know it.
Fell asleep watching Loch Lomond but I have it recorded so that's OK. Very soothing voice over! Then I woke up and did a bit of knitting but it's impossible with two kittens and a terrier helping so I gave up after 3 rows. OH parked in the kitchen to watch Leicester win the hard way so is a happy boy today.

Missed my cuppa though... how precious we become when that's the biggest issue in life

It's already a repeat Hosta, but it's channel 5 each night this week, so you get a plus 24 hour thing. You'll get the 2nd one tonight. I expect you'll be able to get the 1st one somehow.
Quite chilly here, but dry. It's got to the dizzy heights of plus 2 after the minus 2 frost this morning. You wouldn't like it Hosta
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Morning all.
Pleased to say that I think it's a 48 hour 'flu rather than the lurgy. I am certainly sleeping it off and will be back in bed after some fluids.
Pdoc. hope you got some sleep .
Chicky I have dark hair but have always considered myself as having a man's sense of smell. I.e.
Is it burnt
Is it rotten
Is it running too rich or too lean
I've never been able to identify plants and perfumes by smell.
Good morning all
Just awake
OH is getting ready for work ...

We watched a couple of back episodes of First Dates Hotel. Love it.
Hubby working in the shop today so I might crack on with some mulching. Bright with a NE breeze. I bet it's flippin' freezin' out there.
Which side was the Loch Lomond programme on? Oh, and the Thailand one, I've missed both of those.
Hosta hugs to poorly peeps.
Fine sleet here in Norfolk
