It's grey and still here ... no sunshine yet ... but the garden is full of birds - the goldfinches are swarming over the rudbeckia feasting on the seeds image

Morning people - afties Pat. Are you sending some of these zucchini/courgettes over here? Apparently there's  a shortage because of bad weather in Spain and shoppers are being restricted or summat, and so the inevitable panic buying starts. Lettuce and broccoli as well. What is wrong with people! Buy something else and stop being tw*ts.  That's what happens when we 'demand' food products all year round....image

There's been the standard jokes about Scots not doing it of course - 'what's a lettuce, pal?' etc image

No image needed here chicky - manky wet cold day here - not suitable for lettuce eating either  image

Hope you slept ok Dove. It must have been the snoring that stopped me getting to sleep last night Clari image

I need tea - and porridge. Enjoy your butty Hosta - only one though - you have to keep that slim svelte new figure....

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.
We have a howling gale. Huge gusts of wind, scary. Friend village has just rung to see if I'm OK. They've lost their porch. I hope there aren't any trees down on the drive. The horses are very nervous.

" Cin yi deep fry it? Naw! Git oot ma shop mister" I said to Hubby.

I'm Scottish so I'm not being racist, it's self deprication.

Morning all. Brightening up now after early morning rain.

I bought "little gem" lettuce on Wednesday but not a courgette to be seen in two SMs.  I have  a small salad every day.

Keep up the good work Joyce - we have to get rid of that stereotype image

Hosta - the sad thing is, for every healthy Scot, there's probably about a dozen or more who seriously are like that! Probably several hundred  image

BL - hope you're ok. Stormy weather is never fun. Glad you've not lost your humour though - love the joke  image

I'd have to say, I don't think I've ever sold more than 3 iceberg lettuces to a customer.
