I didn't realise they were showing it again Dove - or I would have given people the 'heads up'.

I was in Glen Fruin last year, but it was around this time, so no sight of the hen harriers. Perhaps I'll head up in summer at some point in the hope of getting a glimpse image

Gotta love those dippy dippers image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Lovely story Clari,  well done.

Lovely pics Fairy  thanks for sharing.

Lovely photos. Our first house in France was a watermill (damp!). The mill stream ran under the house and a couple of dippers nested there. It was great watching them diving.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

We have Dippers on our stream, but only after it has flowed through the garden.

    Great birds.

Am having to resort to high dose alcohol, as the rib is so painful.

How can you lie there and think of England

  • Hard luck, Pdoc.  Well, maybe not hard luck about the alcohol... but certainly about the rib.  Could you have cracked it by coughing?

There was a dippers' nest under a bridge over the canal last year.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Yes, lovely photos, Fairy!  I enjoyed doing the squirrel jigsaw image

Had to go out to a rehearsal and missed part 2 of Loch Lomond.  Hope it's repeated.

It's good to be appreciated Clari image

I have slept most of the day and this evening.  Haven't eaten but drinking lots of weak tea ( usually have it strong).

I'm not even in the mood for a short of the hard stuff pdoc but hope your pain eases.

    Back to bed....again.

image Joyce image. Hope you get a good night's sleep and feel better in the morning.

What a lovely letter Clari - it obviously meant a lot to that Mum that her little'un could join in.  Good on you for making it happen.......and fingers crossed life for that child gets better in all sorts of ways.

Just in from Garden Club - good talk about  perfume in plants (by Hosta's friend the Hampshire Hosta Manimage).  Apparently dark haired females have the best noses ......I only tick one of those boxes, so maybe thats why sarcococca and witch hazel evade me image

Morning early birdsimage. I hope some of you are feeling a bit healthier.

Im getting a bit nervous. One of our friends is travelling to Holland next week to visit relatives. I've warned him about the lurgy, but there is no guarantee that he won't ring it back with him.

Our predicted day one of the next heat wave has eventuated. I've had the air con going most of the day. 40 predicted today and 41 tomorrow. (And I'm not talking F. ).
