Fidget, one of the things I love about my OH is his superb tidying ability - he can create a mess, but when he's tidying he's TIDYING - he seems to enjoy it
Topbird that sounds wonderful - you're really not missing anything here - grey, misty and drippy
Hosta - footballers' salaries are obscene.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Turned out sunny in the end so I've planted the last of my late bought daffs and glads, transferred some ginger mint roots to a trough, filled another small one with compost ready for sowing spring onions and generally had a nice wee potter - all made the more fun by kittens doing their best to escape outside.
OH is back from walkies and is trundling round on the mower. i confessed the other day that I'd planted some crocuses in the grass in front of the house and he went ballistic so I had to point out it was neither a bowling green nor a putting green and I wanted it pretty. Humph!
My snowdrops are in flower so, since I still don't have a bed for them, I've brought their wee pots round to the front and given them a feed. Got to love snowdrops.
Excessive salaries are not the only thing that is unattractive about football.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
I'm feeling really tired after all that walking about the paddock, mending the fence. Coughing more again. Rib still hurts. Shoulder tendonitis still giving twinges. Oh dear what a moaner I am. OH has gone to choir practice, I'm having a mug of coffee with painkillers. I never used to take painkillers.
My snowdrops are coming out too. I think they've increased since last year. I won a snowdrop in the gardening club quiz last year, called Grumpy, because it has a grumpy face on it's petals, it's now in flower. In a pot to keep it separate from the normal ones.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad you're having a good time T'bird. Braemar is where I should have been last weekend. Have you visited Ballater and on round to Loch Muick and the Lochnagar hills? You can get good walks round the loch if you don't want to go higher. All beautifully maintained of course, as they belong to Liz....
Glad you're getting back to your tennis Dove. That's been a while you've been away from it
My snowdrops are still very shy. The ones near work, on the verges and in the garden at the foot of the road, are all in full bloom. Higher up than me and only ten minutes away, but can't see any real reason for mine being slower. Only showing a couple of inches out the ground, although they do have little white buds full of promise. I think I might replace my little potted Irises with some, Obelixx. They're past their best I reckon and snowdrops are beautiful, as you say
I'm not spoiling my good mood thinking about a***hole footballers. Especially ones who drink drive. They aren't worth wasting emotion on. Until the powers that be do something more appropriate to deal with them (and anyone else who does it) it will simply never change.
Chicken stir fry for tea I think.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Topbird. I had to look up Portsoy. Looks like you're having a jolly good explore and yes, should be some great scenery tomorrow too along the lochs and up the hills.
Busy, I hope your fence is all mended now and you can rest again. Quote for 100 metres of fencing between us and our paddock - €4800. No comment yet from OH so I shall tackle him this pm. It currently has a very low, loose large gauge aluminium looking mesh fence which will not contain a Bonzo if he decides to chase the horses. Nor will it stop the horses when they realise the grass in the garden is greener so we definitely need a decent fence.
Grumpy sounds lovely. Is there a set of the other 6 dwarfs to collect?

My snowdrops, in various parts of the garden, are nearly all in flower. A trough of tete-a-tetes are partly open and a few anenome blanda are flowering (not the ones planted in the autumn)

Footballer fined £20,000 for drink driving equates to about a day's pay.

Cauliflower cheese here, plus a jacket tattie for skinny ribs OH
The snowdrops here are popping up, one by one ...

Home made cottage pie for us .
Just been down to make sure the storm drains are clear before the storms arrive tomorrow.
N.B. it's not the fact he's a footballer which annoys me, or how much he's paid, it's the "punishment" of one day's pay which is so offensive.
