I found one teeny white crocus in flower today and a Japanese quince shrub and the mimosa trees. Rosemary flowers are budding already and other bulbs are poking up their noses.
Unfortunately, the last week or so of cold weather and strong winds have ravaged my pansies in pots. I thought pansies would be OK here.
Lovely hellebore. Still only seen very ordinary cream ones here for outlandish prices so I shall stay helleboreless if I can't find some seeds.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Fab hellebore, Yvie! Definitely feminine with those flowers like tutus...
Am spending a boring but useful evening backing up photos from my phone to Google Photos. It's supposed to happen automatically, but it doesn't seem to want to work. Only 382 to go!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
So I sat down and looked at scouts; one of the biggest issues when I was delivering today's workshop was how poorly behaved the "adults" seemed to be. I don't stand a chance with the scouts if I have to babysit the helpers too.
It's a no from me.
Parked the Sabre (above) at my local fire station to save me a long journey back into Sheffield. I think all the firefighters were tucked up in bed (21:30) the place was empty!
Please can we have some dry weather on Saturday? I've worked out yet another design for how I want the vegetable beds to go and I want to spray paint them on the lawn for sizes.
I know it's hard to believe, but in the midst of most of Australia having record heat wave days, Hobart has had SNOW! No wonder we are so obsessed with weather.

Evening all, what a beautiful hellebore Yvie! Stunning! Even more so in the sun!
