I need to give some serious thought before suggesting gardening chores to Hubby. He's a fair weather gardener and this weather doesn't suit him at all.
Not really a heat wave here either Pdoc, but definitely spring
We used to keep Southdown sheep Pat, little docile teddy bears often traditionally used to graze orchards. It used to be said they if you painted a fence-line on the grass they would stay within it. I suspect that your Australian sheep are rather more feisty characters

it must be Spring here. The magpie is collecting twigs, bluetits investigating the box on the house wall, and the squirrels are playing chase me, chase me.
Yesterday I repotted the rose cuttings ( one will head to Chicky next week, I haven't forgotten), cut down all the Polka raspberries, and fed a lot of stuff through the shredder. I also went on the flat garage roof to clean out the gutters on next doors conservatory, and finish pruning the wisteria that had got up there.
Then I got told off for being up there without supervision.
Hope those sheep aren't nibbling something they shouldn't... makes a nice photo though.
I'm on the train to my mum's today - it's her 96th birthday, not that she'll know a lot about that. I'm bringing her an arrangement of little African violets in a bowl; she loved growing them until the dementia kicked in. It'll be interesting to see if there's a spark of recognition when she sees them.
Hope you salt miners have a good day, as well as the idle retired like me.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hope the birthday celebration goes well Liri. She may not 'remember' them, but they may trigger good feelings which will colour the next little while and make her days 'sunny'. That's how I found Ma reacted to things like that

Dove, just wait until there's heat in that sun, there'll be no stopping you.
Good luck with Mum's visit Liri.
