    Funny Valentine stories Hostaimage

I think I'd be dead suspicious if my OH started remembering / doing anything about Valentines day after 30 years of not....image

One exception - he did buy me a pink ice cube tray which makes heart shaped ice cubes about 10 years ago. £1.50 from Ikea. I LOVE it and still use it daily for my evening G&T. Thoughtful, practical, inexpensive - perfect giftimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Morning all

After all the wind and rain it's a lovely day here, like Joyce's. Should be able to plant the roses that OH gave me for Christmas.

I always wonder that, about washing machine detergent drawers. Never thought about the dishwasher, good tip, must try it.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Taken all the fish and made 2 pies, one large one for the freezer and a little one for tonight.

the fog has cleared and the sun is out, so cup of coffee then off to continue yesterday's weeding

    Hosta, loved the stories??

Liri have you been looking at my washing machine?? image I confess I give it a wipe out with a bleach laiden cloth when it gets TOOOO bad but I think a trip around the dishwasher might be needed!

Re the fish pie: nothing special I'm afraid I went to the Good Food BBC website: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/luxe-fish-pie I get most of my meals from there and mould them with my own style (usually compensating for what is lacking in the kitchen cupboard).

Today's school group seem... very boisterous! Plus being half term for some we're quite full! It makes me realise how quiet the museum has been of late.

  • It must be the season for fish pie - the foodie forum I'm a member on is talking about them too - so I popped into the SM after tennis and picked up some fish - we'll have a pie tomorrow. image

  • No dishwasher in this house (unless you count OH) so it's back to the bottle brushes I think...

Lovely couple of hours spent pruning community apple trees round the medical centre this morning.  Now it's about to rain, but at least I've got something done outside.  image
