Morning all. Quite a nice day here. The grandchildren have gone outside to play in the garden.

Up again at 10am, showered and dressed.......don't like topsy turvy nights.

Hope the weather stays good for the g'children Busy.  Playing in the fresh air will, no doubt, give them a healthy appetite image

  • Morning all.

I don't know where Doris is, but we have just a strong breeze and our usual dollop of rain.  Not complaining - but if she's visiting you, I hope she's less of a problem than the forecasters are predicting.

Got to stay in today for a visit from a builder.  It's probably a good day for him to come, to assess our damp problem...  however, it means I have to find indoor jobs, which I suspect will mean h****w**k, since I've finished the current sewing projects.  Bother...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

It's our recycling bin day - I'm keeping an eye on ours in case it looks like blowing over - but the lorry's only just down the road - shouldn't be long.

There's a big tree been blown across the A47 near here and our lights keep going on and off - I was going to do some baking, but it's probably not a good idea if the leccy might go off ........

I shall get on with the knitting .........

Garden waste bin emptied & safely stowed image

Parks and cemeteries with lots of trees closed in Suffolk - including the one we were due to visit today. I've changed my mind about going to the SM - it's a 20 mile round trip and there are a lot of 'bits' flying around at the moment.image

Soup & rolls for lunch sort of a day I think....

Our polytunnel has arrived ahead of schedule and so has a bit of weather - bit of wind, bit of rain but now seems to be clearing to the south and the sun is trying to come out.   Painting done for the day.

I see the advice now is for 10 fruit and veggie portions a day....... and a video I saw on FB says doggies should eat pears and green beans and bananas.   Imagine the effect of all that on Bonzo's derrière!

That could have been nasty Hosta!image

Been on that ferry many times - we used to rent a cottage in a tiny village called Sheviock every year from about 1967 to 1975 and had regular trips to get over to Plymouth. There used to be a good chippy in Torpoint - maybe there still is.
