.......or a flutterby as my daughter called them when she was a toddler.

A murky day here Marion so h....k instead of gardening.

I'm tempted to bring my two pots of multi-headed hyacinths into the house as they are now about 1 inch through the compost.

Oh I should bring them in, Joyce.  Not only will they flower earlier than outside they wwill be pristine too - no insect damage to the leaves or wind damage to the flowers.  I have done an hour's gardening in the brilliant sunshine we have in Bristol now and boy does it make you feel good.

I love those multi-headed hyacinths, Joyce.  Very dainty.  None for sale this autumn in my GC though...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liri, I bought them from Avon Bulbs. I haven't grown the multi-headed ones before.

Wet again over night and only 3 degrees so far but promised 8 which is one more than yesterday so the mild spell promised seems to be on the way.  Perhaps some visitors to give a helping hand if it does not turn too rainy.

Good morning, sunshine and blue sky this am, but still cold, the forecast is rain from 1pm onwards image and rain all next week, roll on Spring image.

I have sweat pea plants that I started off in September just as an experiment, and most of them have survived the snow and frost.

Flumpy I remember when you first asked me how to grow sweet peas!  You are an expert now.  It has not stopped raining all morning in Bristol so the garden is soaked.  Probably not get any visitors in this either!
