Wow, those Tete a Tetes are early. they must be in just the right place. I think I can see some buds out in my slate scree but too wet to go and check! TY Joyce. Lovely hellebore too.
Colder still - only 1 degree as yet and yellow warning of ice on untreated roads in Bristol till 10am. But sun forecast for the afternoon so may get out in the garden then. I bet there are great swathes of snowdrops now waiting for me to admire and smell. My parcel from Royal Mail did not arrive yesterday despite the email they sent saying it was in the depot awaiting delivery so I am hoping it comes this morning.
We're promised a sunny day here, maximum 6C, so hopefully I'll get some leaf clearing done later. The garden was clear of leaves until the windy night early in the week, when it filled up again...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Lovely but cold day here. OH out getting up the last of the leaves from my neighbour's Magnolia tree. It is such a nuisance being enormous and shading my greenhouse. Not going to fall out over it though. We are good friends and life is too short to make a fuss. The tree does look beautiful when in flower but I do wish it wasn't so HUGE.
Just finished work, very cold here at 5c but blue sky, it was 10c yesterday, I'm going to take some photos in the garden, I have a couple of plants flowering.
Yes Daydaisy magnolias can get very big. There is one two doors up from me and the flower petals reach my garden when they drop but it is breathtakingly beautiful. My bargain linen tablecloth ( £19 down from £55) and my 40 stems in bud British grown daffodils arrived this morning so I have been titivating the kitchen diner. The red is an exact match for my ceiling and the linen is a weave that does not need ironing.
Your spring flowers and your table cloth look lovely Marion. I hope you have the sunshine down in Somerset which we have in Cheshire to cheer you along, together with your table!
Flumpy, I did not thank you yesterday for your good wishes for my brother-in-law. My sister rang this morning to say that her OH is out of hospital for the weekend, good news I hope. His lung was punctured when he had a pacemaker fitted. Not at all good especially when the patient has emphysema. Still he does seem to be holding up.We are all hoping and praying for the best.

Hope so too, Marion.

.
I believe the weave is a type of seersucker.
