The bss has just called - electrician cannot come today as no labourer has turned up for work after the holiday and he is needed as some of the jobs require climbing a ladder. So hopefully he will come tomorrow instead. Perhaps it will be warmer then. It is still very hard frost so no going outside for me today.
I managed to get out in the garden after lunch as the temp soared to 6 degrees in the sunshine so used my new very sharp secateurs on some bamboo and started filling the green wheeliebin which was emptied this morning. There is so much to do I feel cheated if I have not been able to make even a small dent in the work. See-saw temperatures this week so I will have to be adaptable with my time.
Much milder this morning, already 6 degrees and forecast is for 8 but the electrician and his mate should be here all day so no gardening will be possible. Frosty again tomorrow and only 3 degrees then rain forecast for Friday. Ah well there is always the conservatory. I could switch on the propagator and start off some vegetable seeds.
Morning all!, sunshine here in the NW and 7c but by 4pm it's meant to drop dramatically to 3c, it's my day off today, a lady at my works is turning 60 so I'm going to pop out and get a card, we've done a collection so she can treat herself ?, im going to have a potter around the garden and see if anything needs tidying.
Oh my goodness Flumpy. You will be the smartest gardener around in those boots! Electricians gone after filling eight pages of forms. They tested everything and nothing to worry about. He said three lights all going at once was just a coincidence. It was very mild so while the lights and power were off in the house I took myself out on my terraces and took some pictures to show you how I am getting on. Still lots to do but getting some help at the weekend.
