Managed two half hour sessions out in the garden cutting up huge bamboo shoots so green wheeliebin now out to be emptied tomorrow morning.  It was cold but sunny so I did get some Vitamin D!

It's good to get into the garden, Marion, even for a short while.

This afternoon, I noticed some crocus about to flower and large buds on a pink chaemoneles  as well as snowdrops in flower.

Yes I enjoyed my gardening despite the cold GWRS.  Even a half hour helps as long as you do it every day when you have a huge garden like mine.  My red flowered chaenomeles has lots of buds opening now, Joyce.  I will photograph it shortly.

Brrr white frost everywhere and still only -1 degrees.  Forecast is for a brief spell of 5 degrees later so no gardening today.  But the kitchen is lovely and warm and the hyacinths have perfumed it nicely.

Lovely colour, Joyce & Marion.  I ventured into the garden a couple of days ago to plant a hellebore, newly acquired from the supermarket, but didn't stay long - removed some moss from tiny saxifrages and some leaves from the patio, but the ground is pretty soggy.  But at least we have sun today, the first time for at least a week.  Just looking out of the window makes me feel good!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Yes Joyce my squirrel was hungry today too and came out for a run round the garden to see what was edible.  Definitely could not dig up buried nuts as everything is still frozen solid.  Lovely photos.  Too cold for me to take pics here.
