February here and my imagehyacinths still in good shape but I think I will have to stake them for the last two weeks of their show.

Marion, your hyacinths and cyclamen have done very well.  I'm not great with cyclamen although I keep them cool and water from the bottom.

They do Flumpy.  Last year I grew white ones called "Carnegie" and planted them out in the garden after they had finished flowering so i am now looking forward to a display outside from them.  It is very wet and very windy in Bristol this morning.  Much too dangerous for any gardening as forecast is for a three hour slot of winds over 40 from three oclock onwards.  Lots of debris will no doubt be blown down and about in such high winds.

Joyce, I have just spotted  your photos which you have posted. Your garden is beautiful even in it's winter colours, the bones are there. I bet it is lovely to look out on. I have just had some worrying news from my sister at the local hospital about her husband and the pictures are just what I need at present to concentrate the mind on. Thank you for posting.

We have a yellow warning for heavy rain from 11am in Bristol and set to be wet and windy all day so no hope of gardening outside.  At only 5 degrees this morning it feels colder too and frost during the night is forecast.I have a new red tablecloth being delivered today which I bought in the sales so I am looking forward to that for my kitchen- diner.  When I did my online shop for tomorrow Iceland had bunches of daffodils for £1 so I treated myself to two bunches to grace my new tablecloth.  It will soon be spring indoors anyway.
