Warmer this morning at 5 degrees and the sun is out and temperature forecast of 9 which suits me fine for gardening. Just as long as we escape the heavy showers also in the forecast!

Marion, I hope the rain stays off for you.   We had a wet, windy night so it's very damp outside.

Sunny morning so i got some more bamboo cut before the rain came.  It was quite mid working though and the primulas are arriving in many colours now not just yellow so looks more springlike.Forecast for the end of the week is not so good though.

Frost again this morning and only 7 degrees max forecast but it will be even colder tomorrow and zero through the night so no chance of discarding my bedsocks yet.  If it stays bright dry and sun shines i may get some more done in the garden later.

I did an hour's gardening outside then decided my hands were feeling too cold to carry on.  But my bargain £2 of daffodils are giving a lovely splash of yellow to my kitchen.image

Oh brrrr too cold for me to go out today as max is forecas to be 3 degrees.  It is 2 already so perhaps they are wrong and we may hit 5.  Otherwise the recycling will have to be missed this week!  Rotten as i have stuffed to overflowing the green wheeliebin.  Not due to warm up a bit till Monday.  I hope it is over 6 on St. Valentine's Day as I am supposed to be going out to dinner and the theatre.

I did try but twentry minutes of cutting up bamboo  was all i could do.  My frozen hands were objecting so much i thought I might do myself an injury with the loppers or secateurs.  Ah well I did get some natural light which is always a pick me up.

A rerun of yesterday's weather I am afraid - very cold at 1 degree and not forecast to get above 3.  i did manage to take the bins down the drive but will have to wait till it is warmer to pull them up again.  No outside gardening today.
