I had to venture out to our doctor's surgery today and there were several trees down in the road. I managed to get there by going a long way round on the main roads. I hope no one gets hurt or killed in these terrible conditions. I echo Marion's words, stay safe all. image

Such a difference in the weather today!  Briliant sunshine in Bristol and no wind!  Colour everywhere in my garden.  Bergenias and daffodils unharmed by the wind yesterday.  I have sent for 50 aconites in the green and some more heucheras and Madame Lemoinier hellebores so busy planting times ahead. That plus more seed sowing will keep me busy.

You too GWRS.  I have just been on a tour of inspection - no damage done and the cherry blossom I expected to have been stripped off the trees hung on tenaciously and looks lovelier than ever.

Rain forecast for the afternoon but at the moment it is dry though glooy but mild at  8 degrees already so should get some gardening in today.  New hellebores and heucheras needing planted.

Bah humbug - the rain drove me in.  had it been a little warmer i would have stayed out but not wise to be wet and cold.  Yes aym280 that hellebore is sublime.  Says to leave 25 inches space for it as it spreads.  I was lucky enough to win £25 on one of my premium bonds so treated myself this month.  My garden should be called "The Premium Bond Garden" I think!.
