I had to put out the bins for emptying tomorrow morning and two pairs of gloves were needed.  It is very cold out.

A bit milder this morning at 3 degrees and forecast to reach 7 in the afternoon but rain this evening.  It seems like a long time since we had any rain.  Sunshine expected about 10 am too so may get started on filling up the green wheeliebin again.  There is a big queue of weed baskets waiting to be emptied.

Good morning Marion. Cold but no frost. A few hours of sunshine forecast so hoping to do a bit in the garden and see what's coming into growth.

Green wheeliebin filled up again in the brilliant sunshine.  Even tulips up now and daffs growing away.  Can imagine spring in a few weeks now.  Should have some crocuses for Valentine's Day.

You will just have to take my word for it - these Jan Bos hyacinths are scenting the whole bungalow.image

I am very well GWRS thank you.  I hope you are ditto.  Very wet this morning in Bristol but just stopped raining and i can see blue sky.  Much milder at 7 degrees already and forecast is milder still into February so as long as the rain relents now and again should get some gardening done.  Four vines still need pruning and roses after that.

  • Must say your Hyacinths look absolutely beautiful Marion. I grew some a few years ago and they did really well..........but I couldn't stand their scent so had to get rid of them.

    Have a good day.

Never had that trouble with hyacinths as I love the scent but then I am a bit of a butterfly I suppose!
