Thanks folks So I'll write a week off then Hope you're better by the time you come tot he UK BL.
All necessary h*wk has been done (even the Christmas table cloth and napkins have been ironed and put away), floors swept and kitchen tidied and the bird feeders have all been topped up and ground food scattered. Veg for a hearty Irish stew are all prepped and there's a load of washing looking after itself in the machine. Nothing else has to be done today, other than assemble the stew this afternoon, so I can put my feet up now.
OH doesn't like taking meds for things, but even he's taking Sudafed decongestants now - sadly they're contra-indicated with my other meds so it's Olbas oil and steam for me when I get that bad
Hope the rest of you don't get it ........ still, it's an opportunity to look at the plant and seed catalogues ... as if I needed one ........ every cloud has a silver lining

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I haven't had any see catalogues yet, the French send them later than the English, but I've had an email from the plug plant people to tell me their catalogue is in hand.
You are a brave woman Hazel! You haven't been moaning about your cold, unlike me!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Oooh Busy. Care to share your plug plant supplier?
Steaming worked very well for the kittens and their flu so I shall be doing it for me next time I get a cold as I always have dreadful sinus infections and they're worse than the original cold.
I hope everyone's lurgies clear off soon and that those that need it get the rest they need to recover.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

For Obelixx https://www.jardinexpress.fr/ I've been pleased with them, plants are well packed. I usually get the smallest plugs in trays of about 35. Often 2 little plants in each plug so if you are careful you can get about 60 from a tray.

Sorry to hear of more people with the dreaded lurgy. Yes Dove, get the catalogues and the knitting out but don't mistake the knitting for a hanky. Lizzie I hope your stay in the cottage aids recouperation.
I am hankering after a slow cooker for soups, stews and pot roasts. If anyone has one do they use it often or is it just another gadget that ends up taking up cupboard space?

Dove - keep warm and stay indoors. It seems to be taking a week for the lurgy to clear up.
Get your knitting out and look after yourself.
BL - hope you will be fit enough to enjoy your time at the cottage.
Thanks folks
