Had a good few days off the grid as it were, lots of rest, way too much tv, all episodes of Endeavour and Taboo and a lot of feeling sorry for myself.
Yesterday was my birthday and a good friend organised a surprise party for me, I wouldn't have had anything to do with it given a choice but actually it did me the world of good, just to see how many people care about me and make me feel grateful for what I have. Charlie was a star too.
So today I am up, dressed, organised and have e-mailed all sorts of people regarding these bloomin French regulations and also arranged a meeting with an English lady running a similar place over in a nearby town, she has happily offered to give me as much help and advice as she is able, having recently been through the same thing. Fingers crossed.
Still a long way to go but I least I feel better able to deal with it now. I think the medication is starting to have an effect too so things not too overwhelming.
Punkdoc I did one of my degrees with the OU and they were fabulous, in fact far better support and resources than when I did my other degree in a 'real' university. Good luck and well done.
Off to Pony Club with Charlie now, hope to drop in later.

It's good to have friends who are thinking of you DD. A belated happy birthday. Excellent that you are getting advice from someone who has been through the bureaucracy required for your venture
The weather is miserable and I've got two outings coming up - Friday I'm lunching with a Cornish friend who's visiting Norfolk, then on Saturday well be up early and catching the train to London to meet up for lunch with a group of friends from the foodie forum I'm a member of, then supper with more friends and eventually coming home on the late train, so this afternoon I'm Doing Nothing on the sofa
