BL - we had an ice cream van round here recently. I know it's been the mildest, driest winter here that I can remember, and we Scots are meant to be hardy, but that's taking the p*** !
Perhaps it's soothing for your throat though. It's very wearing. Whatever helps that kind of cough is ok isn't it?
No 'Burns-ing' candles for me Frank/Dad, in fact, no Burns Night-ing at all. Don't care for it. Must be my English half coming through
Just perusing my hill choice for tomorrow. So many to pick from when it's the smaller hills (Corbetts)
When I get my new ice axe next week I'll be thoroughly kitted out. Not that there's much ice/snow left again except on north or east faces, or the higher Cairngorms etc. The approach of a hill I fancied tomorrow is steep and north facing so it wouldn't be wise without one.
Check out those British lads in the tennis. Doing brilliantly.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
No cake FG. Possum is in Belgium taking her mid year exams and this oven can't do one anyway. She's flying down for a long weekend next Thursday so we'll treat her to a lovely dinner and naughty dessert then.
We always have a tub of ice cream in the freezer and like a magnum at the cinema.
Have decided that rather than paint the radiators in the smaller bedrooms I'll get radiator covers which will be easier to paint, easier to clean and give us a handy shelf. Too much to expect they'd both be the same size!
OH is home from running errands and hogging the big TV watching golf while he irons. I'm off to organise my sewing room a bit ready for sewing Possum's new frock and a bag.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Just stopped for lunch, yes I know it's almost 5pm,but I've been busy.
Re what some of you were saying yesterday: we WERE in the photo on page 19 of The Times yesterday. Hubby found us, although we did kinda need a magnifying glass to be sure.
2 loads of washing done, about 6 more loads to go. How can we use so many clothes in a fortnight?
welcome home hosta pleased to hear you are both safe. to gwr my oh supports brighton and hove football club so i am staying out of the way when they play lincoln, may the best team win very windy here for the last 2days and no rain. enjoy your weekend every one
No Monty gardening programme tonight (snooker!!) so will catch up with 'Unforgotten' instead.
Won the work Postcode Lottery today so bought a bottle of red (wine not sauce!) to celebrate! The rest will go on 1: biscuits for the afternoon shift tomorrow, 2: takeaway for after the shift tomorrow, 3: coffee/lunch with my sister AND 4: first plant purchase of the year (want some climbers for shade). Chuffed to bits!

Spring is definitely on the way.
Good to see you again Frank.
I'm not usually fussy about such things, but for an important occasion shouldn't someone have helped Trump to adjust his tie properly
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Congrats, AuntyRach! And it's just the right time of year to be thinking about plant purchases...
Forecast looks ok for tomorrow here, and wonderful for the west coast of Scotland. Hope you get some sun, Fairy.
Might do some extended gardening tomorrow, with luck.
