Hi Hosta that rock is just what I need for my water wise garden. Windy day here and temp of 25with half a dozen spots of rain.Like Pat we are waiting for the promise of rain but in never comes

Evenin' all. Is it too late for lunch now? image

Looking good Hosta. Loads of space for new 'stuff'. image

Are you putting another pine in then - or some other choice subjects instead ?

Bit chilly still - it got to about three degrees in the wintery sun after the minus four frost this morning, but cloudy through the afternoon with a sharp breeze and still only three when I came in about five pm. Was outside doing diy things to the back gate which didn't get finished last autumn. Drill/driver is useless. image

Snow forecast for the hills tomorrow, and we may get some here. We've only had a couple of small spells of snow this winter, but there's still plenty of time for more. I noticed a couple of my reticulata Irises are blooming. Wasn't expecting much of them as that's their third year, so that's quite nice. The snowdrops are starting to look 'snowdroppy' too    image

Up to a startling 5'C in the house now. Puppy and I are home alone tonight: is 18:00 too early to climb into bed?

The fire service booked me today to perform a tour for students they are working with. Bit of faff going from 90 enthusiastic 5 - 7 year olds to 9 uninterested teenagers.

Lucy Worsley will be waiting for me on iplayer.

Fairy and Clari,    fleece lined thermals required. .. . . Fairy for the hills and Clari for her freezing house.

Clari - do you have a few electric fires you can use - at least?  image

I'd be staying in a B&B or a hotel till there was some heating. It's not as if you get to sit in a warm office at work either. image

Walking Sunday Joyce. It's all a bit iffy with fog, snow, cloud and whatnot, so I'll have to have a Plan B and a Plan C I think  image

Glad you had a lovely day, Dove, and I hope you enjoy tomorrow.

Gosh, you've worked hard, Hosta. It's all looking great.
