Fidget - not implying that your house is grubby but I know that some people round here have had a team of professional cleaners in for a day rather than redecorate. . . . . their houses weren't grubby but they felt they were spotless and gleaming after the cleaners.
I've just heard a teenage girl was found deceased just up the hill from here. Knew my gut had a reason to be on edge when I saw the major incident CSI unit on the A57.
This is a close knit place, it won't be long before everyone knows names and is offering up suggestions. Tonight is scouts night; I get the feeling it isn't going to be an easy session.
Ideally, some developer will take both houses, the gardens, and they can do what they like with it. If they are going to be restricted next door, they might want my bit as extra. I am going to take the money and run.
Clari - how sad. It may well be a tough evening - I've a feeling you're the person who will enable them to be as level-headed as possible while remaining sensitive to distress and anxiety. Thoughts with you ((hugs))
BL I'm still coughing so will stay indoors in the warm as much as poss. I do have a very woolly hat for outdoor excursions if needed
Joyce Vickys been cutting my hair for over twenty years - she knows what I like and I have faith in her. I've had hundreds of different styles with her.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Local news has identified that a 16 yr old girl who was reported missing in Dinnington has been found dead on a footpath. It is thought to be suspicious. Keep safe Clari, and keep Reggie with you, you don't know what sort of nutters out there.
That's very sad Clari. I'm sure you'll deal with it very well.
Fidget - probably highly sensible to take the money and run, as you say, but always a bit sad that it's cheaper to knock down, usually quality, houses than renovate etc. It happens round here quite often, and will no doubt be the case with my late uncle's house as it was in a fairly poor state - elderly man on his own for years. Sometimes 'doing up to sell' can be tricky too, as it's easy to keep going and not knowing where to stop.
Check you out, Dove - with your paste! I looked as if I'd 'styled' mine with summat when I got off that hill on Saturday. Bonny it wasn't
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'm going to see if mum wants a row of Polka raspberry canes. best to move them now, and unlikely we will be here in September for the fruit. All of my Roscoeas will need potting up too, and all the double hellebores.
Fidget: I rarely go out without Reggie. He is quite the mummies boy and would rather sit in my car at Tesco than stay at home with his master. If you ever want to see devotion he always trots next to me when I take the shopping trolley back looking so proud. Not that the nutters will be able to tell that with his big land shark bark and teeth. It is horrid to think I shouldn't feel safe going for a wobble to the local shop.
Fortunately the scouts were completely obvious to the events. I imagine tomorrow at school things will be different. Although it was only my second session with them I'm really enjoying it.
Are you around Pat? It's not often I come in without interesting musings from you in the morning
Laying in bed having Reggie cuddling me whether I like it or not. He has certainly mastered looking adorable. Just so his daddy doesn't feel left out he has a paw resting on him. Trouble is his feet are quite fluffy and ticklish!

Fidget - that makes sense

Fidget, all the best advice re selling houses is 'clean and declutter - don't redecorate but do make sure that drains run freely'.
Good luck

Another 90 children visiting the museum tomorrow.
Above should read my scouts were oblivious.
